Bought these for those rare hose clamps we all run into once in a while. Had some of those 20 dollarish pliers that didn't last more than a few uses and I didn't want to shell out over $200 for the Snap-On pliers, so these looked like a great compromise. I've removed, and replaced, 6 clamps so far and they work perfectly and are still like new so I'm happy. I likely won't use them for a few years now so I can't honestly address how long they will last but I think they have a lot of life left from my inspection of their construction. They not for daily professional shop use mind you but for the handyman. And oh yeah, some reviewer said he (she?) pinched their fingers every time they used them, I have no idea how they did that, I have yet to suffer such a grievous injury.

The tool came broken. The picture shows the handle closed all the way, while the clamping part is still wide open, and the cable is still extended.

Love the wide jaws, serrations and they are very heavy duty. Great for hose clamps that are too wide for regular pliers. Nice tool to add to the arsenal.

Flexible Hose Clamp Pliers - 647830Unless your main job is replacing hoses, you won't use this tool very often, but when you need it, you will be thankful you have it!This will most certainly save you time, blood, sweat and tears when unclamping/clamping those hard to reach hoses that "highly educated" engineers love to wedge in between tight areas. Will likely save you money as you won't throw your old pliers on the ground in frustration. Seriously engineers...use a pair of pliers and wrenches from time to time and you'll understand the frustration that you cause!Thankfully this hose clamp eliminates that.This thing is beefy and well-made; I don't see this breaking anytime soon, if at all. It locks onto clamps fairly easily and stays locked. One possible issue is that the locking head is slightly larger than others (not by much), but it shouldn't be a problem unless you have only millimeters of spare room. This will also work on larger hose clamps that other brands will not. (Check sizes in description to make sure it fits your needs though!)The hose is long enough and flexible enough that it should reach just about anywhere for most engines, even most diesels with maybe some exceptions?Certain hoses in tight, awkward locations would sometimes take me 20+ minutes just to remove one or two clamps with regular pliers and a whole lot of yelling; this gets it done in 5 minutes or less. I wish I bought this sooner. I'm sure my neighbors also wished I bought it sooner.

This works much better than the round cup type one fuel lines. Grips nice and firm and the pliers are good and tight not sloppy like some cheap pliers. They are heavily made and a quality product.

This tools indented slots to capture the tangs on various low pressure automotive hoses that are the factory type , works welland allows multiple angles and access that conventional OTC type hose clamp pliers which only fit in one direction, don’t allow the versatility that this tool does. The pliers are not lose at the joint and fit a variety of hose clamp sizes and OEM styles on Japanese and American autos. I’m the photo, the purchased pliers are on the right and I’ve added an oring to save space in my tool box and keep the spring in the handles relaxed toReduce wear. On the left is a conventional hose clamp pliers that works best with singular tang clamps but not square tang clamps like the one in the photo. Previously a professional mechanic and now work on a variety of classic cars, race cars and my own vehicles, I found this tool a good value and good quality.

These pliers work great as long as you can get directly onto the clamp. The spring loaded design and simple slots in the jaw are perfect, my favorite tool of the day! (It was new radiator day)
