This vice grip set is priced well for the variety and they have grips. Keep in mind that most of them are quite small - as can be seen with a standard screw driver for comparison. I tested these out and they are not meant for heavy duty tasks. With some tightening, the back pin popped off that's near the spring to retract the jaw. It can be popped back in but doesn't work the same anymore. I wish that they added a hex slot on the screw for better tightening ability - but given the light duty, it makes sense why that feature was not included.

Very good, budget friendly set of locking pliers (with 1 locking clamp) that have a good build quality and grip strength with the locking mechanism. The added padded handles make it even easier to get the clamp strength you need. For a set of non-brand name tools, these are excellent!Original Price: $22.99Price at Review: Currently Not AvailableVariant:Overall Rating: ★★★★★☆☆☆☆☆

I ordered this 6-piece vice grip set for myself. My husband has some of the brand name. But my tool box only has a couple of grips from the discount hardware store you’ll find scattered across the Midwest. These are so much better. We found our set to be of solid engineering, adequate heft with no sloppy joints. There is a nice variety of sizes and the rubber grips seem as if they will be durable, though time will tell. Unless you are a professional using your tools all the time, I think these are a great addition for the price.

I use a few pairs of vise grips all of the time. There are plenty of times I wish I had different variations but haven't bought individual tools for rare niche needs. I saw this set and figured perfect! The tools are durable and easy to use. I especially like the long nosed sets. I've already used the smaller one on my adventure motorcycle to clamp off the fuel line. It's going to be part of my tool kit while riding!! Great tools at a great price!

I needed a set of vice grips for my toolbox and this set fits perfect for my needs. They feel well constructed and the grips are comfortable for the most part. So far I have not noticed any slop in any of the vice grips yet and they grab tight with no issues. For the price I think this set is a winner. For home and auto these work great but I wouldn't expect them to hold up in an industrial setting.

I have a few pairs of the original brand of Vise-Grip pliers (in very small, small, and medium sizes). But they are all essentially the same style, just different sizes. While all useful, there are times when (in particular) long nose Vise-Grips would come in VERY handy. So when I saw this Sunbaba 6-piece set of locking pliers and noticed that the set included 2 sizes of long nose pliers I decided to order them. While a couple of the sizes of the curved-jaw variety are essentially duplicates of what I have, that's OK because there have been times when I needed to use TWO of the same size pliers at the same time (i.e. for loosening two sections of threaded pipe screwed together) but was forced to use a different type of tool for the second piece of pipe, which is always awkward. So I'm glad that I have the new long nosed pliers, and I'm glad that I have the duplicates. I'm also glad for the locking C-clamp that's in this set, as I am a firm believer in the old craft-person's maxim that one can never have too many clamps. The only variable in all this was the question of what the quality level of this set was, since here in the USA Sunbaba isn't exactly a well-known tried and true brand. But I needn't have worried about that, since now that I've seen them and used them I am satisfied in their quality and confident that they will be durable. The jaws of each and every pair meet together perfectly aligned and at the proper angles. The larger long-nose pair had a little bit more slop in the jaws than I would have liked. That is: although they WERE aligned there was the potential that they could get misaligned if some rotational torsion was applied. But I was able to easily fix this by simply squeezing the metal on both sides of the moveable jaw with the largest curved jaw plier in the set.All the other pairs were on par with my original Vise-Grips from Irwin, so I am very happy with the set; especially considering the very reasonable price. My only problem now is that I will have to put up another pegboard on my workshop wall to hold the set, although that improvement has been otherwise long overdue anyway.

The Good: I like the different sizes for small to medium size projects demanding locking pliers or a C-clamp. Made of steel with comfort grips. Firm locking and hold with easy adjustability at the turn of a knurled bolt at the end of the handle. A modestly priced 6 piece set for the DIYers or hobbyists. Strong teeth for secure holding. The not so great: They don’t feel heavy duty like the name brands (Craftsman…Irwin and etc.) but you’re not paying the name brand price for these either. There is a little slop in the mechanics and the rubber grips are a little loose and wobbly. The max C-clamp holding size is right around 1”.This set is fine for light to medium duty work…but you get what you pay for. The pliers are useful for different around the house projects and you get 6 tools for about $27. A decent set for the weekend worriers…but I wouldn’t recommend for mechanics or professionals.
