They go in fairly easy and not as long as some are, making it perfect for hedge posts! The barbs hold tight , as well.

…over and over again! Virtually ruined the project they were used on. They are nearly 1/8” thick, which is totally unnecessary. Be forewarned.

I am using these to secure 12 1/2 gauge barbed wire to cedar fence posts. Every livestock owner knows to secure the wires on the inside of the posts so when livestock presses their weight against the wires they don’t pull free of the fence posts. However, if someone climbs the fence regular staples can be pulled out. These are special because the little side barbs hold the staple securely in the wood of the fence posts.

I use these in many different ways and have been very helpful and useful. The barbed end really makes sure that things don't come out and stay in place.

Do not try to drive these into a 2x4. I tried to use them to attach hardware cloth to pine 2x4. It will split them. Very heavy. Too heavy for around the house. Possibly too short for farm fencing. I really don't think they will ever pull out though.

These things are heavy duty! If you have thin wood, they will split the wood. Fortunately, we had big log fence timbers and they worked great. Much better than staples!
