I saw there was a crack and slight bend in the metal backing plate, but I installed anyway after hammering the bend flat, as I really needed to get my truck through inspection.It failed. Crack in the surface. Duh on me.I ended up going to advance and getting their pads, so I wasted my money and time and did the brakes twice.I won't buy brakes mail order again, not worth the savings.These are wagner and should be top notch, and probably would rate 5 stars if I didn't receive damaged items, so yes I'd buy wagner any time, but not from amazon.I give myself 1 star for installing them, knowing they were damaged, but, like I said, I needed to try to get the stupid thing through inspection.
