Some of the worst Scratches / Gouges in the metal I have ever seen. I feel that this is a GOOD product for the price point, and I feel they did a pretty good job at packaging these since the box was approx. 11 feet long and it was the ENDS that I thought would be an issue. The ends of the tubes were in good shape, so that part of the packaging was sufficient. Turns out it was the TOP of the tubes that took all of the shipping abuse. I am realistic, so I fully expected there to be SOME scratches, and I was hoping they would be all on the bottom ( SOME were on the bottom, which is no big deal ), or somewhere where I could touch them up easily. No such luck. I am NOT going to return these because it is not worth everyone's time and effort, however, I AM going to have to figure out how to fill the deep, metal gouges ( as if someone took a metal file to them ), and figure out how to blend some of the black crinkle finish since it is right on the top of the tubes where you look while you are getting into the truck. Again, I like the steps, I just hope they add some more cardboard INBETWEEN the tubes when shipping in the future so the next person does not have to go through this hassle.

These steps are marvelous, they look great and were an easy install. My mother in law still complains the truck is too high to get into, so I need n-Fab to make a stepping stool please.

I bought this for my Ford Super Duty Crew Cab, and it is solid and protects the doors from the front wheel to the rear wheel - I had to replace my driver's side front door due to earlier blowout while driving at 70 mph, and these nerf bars would have prevented or alleviated the damage caused by the flying rubber.Installation was super easy, and the price was better here or at least equal to any other retail website, especially when you have free shipping as I did.I would recommend this product to anyone.

It looks good and was pretty sturdy. It does not come with caps for the ends of the tubes. Mine started rusting within two weeks. Mine came with the wrong bolts for this kit and had to buy new ones. Instructions were bad and the customers service rep I talked to did not seem to be familiar with the product. I would recommend that you repaint it, particularly the inside of the tube if you buy it.

Strong, tough, practical, clean looking! Required drilling for the back two bolts, the other 4 lined up well for my 2003 Ford F250 Powerstroke. Took 45 minutes to install in low light conditions. Would give 5 stars but due to the minimal packaging from the shipper the powder coating was scratched down to bare steal on sever inconspicuous locations. Well worth the money!!! Low price for the name brand and quality provided, would recommend and easily purchase again!!!

This was my second set of N-Fab bars and I really love them BUT I was so very disappointed in these particular steps that I purchased. Both bars had nicks in the paint with one being down to the metal in a location very obvious to the naked eye. N-Fab does a great job packaging their products which makes me even more disappointed as the scratches and nicks were done prior to packaging in my professional opinion. QC was obviously not a concern when it came to reviewing these bars prior to shipping and that's not favorable in my mind because these steps/bars are not cheap.

Unit shipped from Autosheperd and arrived in a few days.It was packed and protected very well.I opened the box and used it to lay on doing the install.That kept me and the bars from getting scratched up.It didn't stop the mosquitos!I did the install by myself using 6X6 blocks and small pieces of wood shims.It balances on them well with the monting brackets at just the right angle for attaching.You need a deep 9/16" and a deep 1/2" inch and 9/16" shallow sockets and 6"inch extensions. Where and when will be obvious.I'd also suggest some BLUE LOCKTITE as the carraige bolts do not have locknuts or lock washers.Locate the nut plates before you try to raise the bars in place as you can't get to the area when the bar is in place.Start out by installing loosely one carraige bolt in each hole (Shallow socket), then installloosely the bolts in each nut plate. Then install the rest of the carraige boltsand increasingly tighten both the bolts and carraige bolts until it is all the way up.I'm 220+ and see only a small amount of flex when I bounce on the steps.They look good and are a compliment to my black truck.I would do it again knowing what I know now.
