I have never seen a differential cover develop pin holes and leak. The ford dealer wanted a pretty penny for the cover. Auto Part Stores would have to order it. For the price, I could not pass it up. This item came in 2 days. It is well constructed. Did not look cheap. Finish was very good. Installation was simple. I used a gasket even though I could have just RTV’d it. It did not dimple the cover as I torqued it down. Overall I am well pleased.

If you are buying this differential cover for a Ford Ranger, make SURE you order the correct size. Rangers came with 8.8" and 7.5" differentials. The best way to determine the size is to look at the metal tag attached to a rear axle differential cover bolt. Despite being made in China, the cover fit perfectly and the quality appears good.
