This was an addition to the transfer switch. Needed this option inside my garage for my Ecoflow battery generator. Went together in about 10 mins. Works great

I'm back to purchase more of these plugs. They are very easy to install on an existing exterior main electrical panel for the DIY electrician. IF you don't understand electricity, ask someone who does for their help, or hire an electrician. Most home owners have a 5500w generator that has a 30a 220v L14-30 plug. Wiring in this plug and providing the correct extension chord from the generator to this plug allows you to SELECTIVELY power your house with a 5500w portable generator, through your main electrical panel. A safer solution than extension chords throughout the home.We install these at the bottom of the main house panel. All panels have a knock out hole large enough to accept this plug. Plug comes with a gasket, three mounting screws, and a backup plate for attaching screws to. They are low profile, sleek, and are not obstructive to exterior of the electrical box. The exterior cover of the plug also has a gasket and is spring loaded. If your box is packed full of wire and breakers, this plug may not fit.You will need four pcs of #10 wire a few feet long, 30A 2P breaker, screw driver and lineman's pliers to install.

High quality and very easy to install. Now that I have bought the generator ran the wiring and installed the interlock switch, we have hardly lost power from the grid for more than a few minutes. So it worked.
