Awful. The reel doesn’t stay straight because the right parts didn’t come and so it doesnt correctly go together. Directions are awful. Minimal pictures and the pieces that came aren’t even listed in the booklet as parts. Sooo yea. Do not recommend. No stars

Our pool cover is quite thin, but the pole still bends in the center. We’ve only been using it for a month, but have had the issue from the very beginning. But it still beats not having a reel at all!! Price was nice. Wasn’t expecting this to be a long-term solution anyway for that very reason. It’ll get us by for now. Eventually I’d prefer stronger construction.

I compared a lot of reels before settling on this one. I took a chance since it didn’t have any reviews yet but I was not disappointed. They are all very similar so I narrowed my search down to two things. Price and the tee connection on the end pieces. Some appear to have plastic tee connectors that seem to me like something that could fail in the future with no easy fix. This one has TIG welded tee connections that look nicer and should last forever. They all have a lot of plastic fittings but nothing on this one that I don’t feel that I could repair when the time comes. The plastic hubs on the wheels were average but the tires were surprisingly thick and heavy, with a quality feel. Some crank wheels, on the others, have bright colors but this one is black and grey. Looks nice without standing out like a sore thumb. Packed with very heavy duty vinyl end protectors on the tubes so everything arrived in perfect condition. If I had it to do over, this is still the one I would buy.

This unit was welded metal, not plastic frame which would almost certainly fail in the Florida sun due to plastic fatigue. Very easy to use, and to move away when not in use. Great product, good value.
