It's hard to tell exactly how well a filter is functioning, but they got the observable details right. You get two filters plus a semi-flixible standoff for a good price. Each filter comes well sealed in a plastic film, and each end of the filters has it's own additional nylon seal to keep foreign matter out. All the threads function smoothly without catching. Getting water as clean as possible before it gets to the tank is just common sense. These filters contain a lot of different materials to catch as much as possible.

most of the filters this style i have used are simply activated charcoal filters with charcoal media only. these filters have 2 other components additionally to help with taste, smell, quality of water. they have a chlorine removel media and KDF 55 which is also used to remove chlorine, bacteria, iron removal, and also soluble heavy metals. kdf 55 is readily available for purchase on amazon and it is expensive media. and this filter contains the charcoal media also. small filters are intended for short use/life. these have a nice media stack inside geared to taste and smell improvement to your drinking water.

We used this with our camper last weekend and it worked great. We use a 90 degree elbow cause the included attachment is too stiff. We store it in the fridge in between trips.

I use this type of filter for my RV water supply as either an inline filter when using a city water hook up at a campsite or when filling my RV water tank (if there is no water hook up at the campsite I am staying on). In the past I have used similar Camco TastePURE filters. Price wise, this Stmoutuo two-pack is about the same price as the Camco filter is for one, and both come with a no-kink flexible hose connector (which is very useful). Both filters claim to have KDF and carbon filtration inside the filter housing. They both claim to protect against bad taste, odors, and sediment, and to filter out Chlorine, bacteria, and heavy metals, including lead. Both filters claim to have NSF/ANSI 42 certification for Chlorine, taste and odor removal. However, only the Camco filter claims to have the NSF/ANSI 53 certification for lead removal. I cannot find anywhere that the Stmoutuo filter claims to have the NSF/ANSI 53 certification for lead removal, however its advertising it does specifically state that the KDF 55 stage of filtration removes "heavy metals like iron, lead, nickel, chromium, etc.". I will trust that is true, but would feel better if they had gone to the added step of having an NSF/ANSI 53 certification done by an independent laboratory, like Camco did. But those certification tests cost money, which may be why the Camco product is more expensive. Regardless, this Stmoutuo filter appears to be well made and of good quality, with multiple levels (4) of filtration, and perhaps a better value based on the two-pack price.

I always filter any water going into our RV, particularly into the fresh water tank regardless of where we are; even at home. This set of filters function every bit as well as the camco filters I have purchased for years. These are a good value and the water tastes great. We have a noticeable chlorine taste in our domestic water. This filter makes it undetectable. Each one of these should last me a season, since most of our water fills happen at home. There is no leakage in this filter either, which is appreciated!

Seems to filter the sand out good. That was the main reason I got them. It has a good flow rate as well. No complaints

Water filters are a must have for your camper or RV. The one thing that you need to know about this one before purchase is that is does not purify but only filters for taste while removing some heavy metals. If that is what you are looking for this is a perfect filter for you. If you are certain that the water source that you are hooking up to is safe and you are only looking to remove the heavy metals and improve taste, this filter is for you. If you are looking for a filter that will also purify the water from micro-organisms, this filter is not for you.
