This is a good quality face shield. The shield itself comes un-installed. The clear plastic shield has protective film on both surfaces. They are not the easiest thing to remove but once you get a hold of an edge, you can peel them off following the metal rim of the shield.Installation is quite simple. There are 5 little twist tabs along the forehead edge. You turn them sideways, pass the shield onto each and twist the tabs to vertical positions and done. The shield is somewhat malleable and can be shaped due to the aluminum metal rim. This rim would also protect the edges of the shield plastic so it should last a while.The head band has two adjustments. One on top to adjust the depth of the mask (i.e., how far down your forehead it will go) and it's adjusted like a baseball cap's back strap. The other adjustment has a knob that you use to set the snugness of the head band. The forehead strap has a sweat wicking cloth on it. How well it will work is not clear. Also the shield can be lifted out of one's view and the tension for this adjustment is on both sides of the forehead strap.All in all, I am quite happy with this face shield and will feel safer when grinding parts at my bench grinder and cutting metal parts off with my angle grinder.

I will be starting a fairly large DIY paver project that requires cutting a lot of pavers. During my planning phase I discovered that safety glasses just don't work well enough while cutting pavers with an angle grinder. I kept getting debris in my eyes, nose, face, mouth, etc. This shield works really well.Here are my observations:- Adjusting the supporting head band isn't very intuitive but there are instructions printed on the knob.- The back side of the head band is hard plastic and not very comfortable. Moleskin helped.- I need to use ear defenders. At my age, I can still hear and I intend to keep it that way. I could not wear the defenders over the face shield... I had to put on the ear defenders first, then the shield... and even that was not very stable. I will dig out my ear defenders that use a forehead elastic band instead of an over-the-head band and see if that works better. I took a star off for this. Safety equipment that works well with other safety equipment is important.- The shield will tilt up like a welder's mask. Nodding my head would knock down the shield just like a welder's mask... only it is a touch too lose.- It comes with a plastic film on one side that is difficult to see through... and difficult to remove without sharp fingernails. It is much easier to see through the shield if this film is removed. As a farmer, I do a lot of metal grinding and wood cutting and putting on a helmet with ear protection if I’m using a small electric saw to clear the occasional branch is overkill.This was a great compromise!Not only does it offer great debris protection for your eyes, I’ve found that it’s also great for keeping mud off your face when pressure washing track loader tracks after working in a muddy feed lot.I gave it four stars instead of five because it’s wonky to adjust. The knob on the back needs to be pulled outward to adjust and pushed in to lock. That’s the opposite of every hard hat and welding helmet I’ve ever used and I’m fairly certain it’s the only thing of its type on the planet that is backward like that. Very annoying.That said, it’s comfortable, good quality, easy to put together and functional. Great value for the little bit of money they ask for these!Just be prepared to fight with that adjustment knob until you get used to it.

I needed something to cover my face when using my bench grinder. Regular safety glasses do not cover enough. This safety shield is just what I needed. It is easy to wear and has great coverage. I can even wear glasses under it if I need to. Works great, is clear and sturdy. Glad to have this product.

IT STAYS OFF MY FACE which is important. It does NOT slide across but fits comfortable with great visibility! I chose this style mask because of my glasses. I RECOMMEND to everyone as excellent coverage - protection!

This face mask is part of my safety apparatus when I am using a chainsaw or turning wood on my lathe. It is better than nothing but is rather thin. It fits well. It will help keep shavings out of your line of sight. Unfortunately it lacks the build qaulity to protect from work peices of wood from flying out of the chuck. Decent mask, just understand the limitations.
