Happy with it. I just hope it won't rust in my garden.

I bought a decorative round metal piece for my yard and needed a way to anchor it into the ground. The metal round strips are 2” wide. Most landscape staples are 1 and 1/2” wide. I found these and they are perfect for the job. Sturdy, strong and well made. Very happy with the purchase.

They do what they’re supposed to do, but started rusting within less than 48 hours and are now completely covered (after 1 week). If you get near them while watering, watch out because you’ll have orange rust stains all over.

Revised: The seller said the rust helps these hold in the ground. I will not ever know because I do not want rusty stables in my garden bed but from what I read, it “probably” will not hurt the plants. I have decided I should have payed better attention and noticed these were not galvanized and upped my rating because they are adequate with regard to quality but buyer beware if you care, these rust completely and fast but are designed to actually do just that. Plus they have some kind of oil on them which I bet is not good for gardens. The morale of the story for me I would not use these in garden beds and I don’t think that they are designed for that at all. I wanted to use them to pin down my irrigation hose.Original review:The Seller is right these are the only 2" staples on Amazon and I was excited about them until I discovered they are the furthest thing from rust-proof. it sprinkled a little the day I put them out to use them. By the time returned less than one day later they had rust spots all over them.. I put them in the ground and not to my suprise at that point, they instantly turned into completely rust covered staples. I am not sure where you could use ground staples that would not have moisture. Doesn't all soil contain some moisture? I give the seller 2 stars only because they were not described as rust proof so I will take a little responsibility but I don't get it...

I wanted to pin down the feeder lines to the garden hose that runs from the faucet on the side of the house to the hose stand by the front of the house and needed to keep the hose from moving around to avoid being hit by the lawn mower. These are wide enough to slip over the garden house. What was left, I used to hold down the weed barrier.

I used this product for an atypical need, which was to keep pool noodles staked into the ground for several days during a scout twilight camp. The stakes were very sturdy and I as able to pull up and reuse the same stakes night after night. They never warped and maintained their shape. The quantity for the price was great too.

I like the 2" width, as I bought them to hold flat sprinkler hoses down. This is not galvanized wire so will show rust, but the seller has assured me that this is cosmetic only, and will not affect the strength of the wire. Use gloves or pliers when pulling them up and you will be fine. I have to say, they are long enough that it takes a bit of effort to pull them up, but wire ends are angled, so they are easy to insert into the ground. They won't pull out until you want them to come out, which is a good thing. I also want to commend their customer service. Jason was concerned about my misunderstanding of how the rust will impact the product, and took time for several email exchanges with me. I am confident that the wire will hold up and that they stand behind their products.
