I got this to help my kindergartener with reading words he was unsure of. This little pen has been a huge help in reading for him. I can give it to him or we sit together and I help me browse over words on the page as it reads them back to us. It makes learning a breeze.

This is a handy little tool that allows for help with reading or language, learning or notetaking because it can either read along with the instructions or can help with translation. It also connects to the Wi-Fi, which is kind of neat. overall it’s a nice product.

Voice translation feature doesn't work at all -- every attempt is met with "token has expired/please log in again". If there's any way to actually log in to something, it's not listed in the manual and I can't find it. It has failed right out of the box and continues to fail on every attempt -- I suspect that it was programmed using a temporary token for one of the AI engines which has now expired and it won't ever work barring a device update.The device update screen says it's up to date, but there's no "back" button, so you have to turn the pen off and back on to get out of it.Scanning translation does work, and seems accurate, but note that it requires an active Internet connection for the vast majority of all the languages in the device. Even something as common as Portuguese (the sixth most common language spoken in the world) isn't available offline. Manual uses surprisingly good English grammar for an inexpensive device made in a non-English-speaking country, but is extremely terse.
