I had this on my bike no more then 2 months and it went out and over charged my battery. I put a poem one on it and haven't had any problems since. It is good temporarily but not for the long run

Hardest part was finding where it was on my bike. Super easy to replace and saved the $220 the shop wanted to charge to do the job.

11 months and now only producing 11.5 vdc. 2000 v star 11000 and stator producing proper voltage per the manual. Battery hold proper charge so if is surely the rectifier.

Fixed the problem. 2000 Roadstar was charging fine, but battery would go dead in less than 2 days of sitting. Checked for parasitic drain with a meter measuring amperage and had a 66ma draw with everything off. Started unplugging connectors and drain didn't go away until I unplugged the regulator. Installed new unit and now have a normal .50ma draw with clock in the background. That's more like it!!!

V star 650. I was given a bike that was sitting for many years rusting away. I didn’t know much about bikes and learned as a side project. Long story short... I tore my carbs apart many times because I couldn’t figure out why i could not rev high or go above 50mph without the engine sounding like it’s revving faster but not going anywhere. Maybe it’s called bogging? Idk but this thing right here was the solution the whole time. If you’re not sure when your regulator was ever changed and are having engine/carb problems. This cheap, easy, two bolt one connector device might save your day as it did mine.I can now redline my bike, go as fast as the bike can. I can’t say thank you enough to this product. My bike is officially fixed and seriously this was the easiest thing I’ve done to the bike so far
