Electric starter on my Ariens snow blower would make a screeching/humming sound, would not start the snow blower.Long story short, it’s common for the screws holding the starter on, to come loose or fall off. One side in mine, fell off, and ended up gnawing off the engagement “teeth”. I found this info on YouTube, I wish I saw it 3 years ago. It’s a good idea to check and make sure the bolts are tight, every once in awhile.I replaced with this and it worked on first try.Very pleased

It would have been very easy to install but one of the brackets was bent and to a bit to get it straightened out. Other than that it works great and seems to be very well built

Purchased this starter as a replacement for a Tecumseh snow blower that I had replaced the original starter with an after-market version that no longer worked about maybe 5 years. Unlike the previous starter I installed, this one fit perfectly and works flawlessly and turns the engine over must faster.

Installed on an old Toro 824. Installed easily and worked perfectly. Unfortunately it did not come with mounting hardware (2 long screws for the start switch and two bolts to mount the starter). The Toro already had hardware to accept the two upper starter motor tabs. I greased the starting gear/flywheel on the snowblower as it was corroded (old snowblower that did not previously have a starter). Will save allot of pulling in cold temperatures.

This starter was a perfect OEM replacement for my 2005 Yard Machine Gold Model 31BE5MLG729. Installation was as easy as it gets with 2 T-30 torx (or 2 3/8") bolts and 2 Phillips screws. Over night delivery was was provided at no charge. I whole heartedly recommend this product. Now I hope it lasts 19 years like the original did!
