I have a Hart hatchet that came with a nylon and elastic sheath, but it’s not very user-friendly. Because of this, I often end up reaching for one of my other hatchets instead. The sharp metal buckle constantly gets caught on things and cuts items I don’t want damaged, while the elastic makes it difficult to remove and replace the hatchet smoothly.On the other hand, I have a leather-style sheath on all my other hatchets, and I much prefer this design. This particular leather sheath is exceptionally well made, with high-quality hardware that looks great. The leather is soft, pliable, and a pleasure to use. It’s both functional and durable, making it a fantastic upgrade. I would highly recommend this sheath!

I keep an axe in the trunk of my car, along with a folding shovel and other tools. Now the axe is protected, and the other tools are protected from the axe. A good buy.

Seems well made for the price. It is quite small. I use it for a mouse hawk so it works ok. I think it would be too small for most hatchets but should work well for hammers.

Product isn’t leather and it doesn’t have a belt clip like in the description. Fits well, but I’m skeptical that it will last very long. I’m afraid it will melt if I leave it in my vehicle!!
