I have a competing product, and this intrigued me because of the clear bowl. I think if you went by the max fill line on this, your bowl would probably overflow if you didn't lock the lid down, and if you did lock the lid down... you'd have a lot of broken popcorn. I used a tad bit of oil, even though it says it isn't necessary. It did leave condensation on some of the popcorn, which was weird considering it has vent holes; this has not happened on my other collapsable silicon popcorn bowl I have that just has a floppy lid you cover it with (and we had 2 batches that had soggy looking popcorn on the top from this). If you use oil, you have to make sure all the kernels are coated well with it. This bowl is very sturdy, but lacks tabs to hold onto when removing freshly cooked popcorn from the microwave. You can use the rim, but having a little more surface area would be preferred. There weren't any instructions that I saw, but having used simliar products we didn't have issues figuring it out.I love these, and we eat a LOT of popcorn.Pros:Studier bowl than some other popco competition, see-through, lid design is betterCons:no holding tabs for when it's hot, lack of instructions (though... you really just put in popcorn and microwave it, not rocket science), max kernel fill line is too high

Finally! A popcorn popper I can get behind! Simplicity still counts, as this product tops most of the air poppers I've reviewed. This popcorn bucket is large enough to pop popcorn for a family of 4 with few unpopped kernels. I especially love that it collapses into a very small, and stackable, footprint. My kitchen is tiny so rarely do I keep anything that has a single purpose. This bowl collapses enough that it's one of the few pieces I don't mind having, mostly because of its size. It also washes well in the dishwasher. I really wanted an air popper, as I prefer plain popcorn with a hint of sprinkled salt, but every popper had its own achilles heal and I ended up returning all of them. This is a perfect occasion to remind buyers that simplicity matters.

We like popcorn in our house, but I'm not a huge fan of the prep work. I can make it on the stove with a dutch oven, which needs oil for the kernels to pop (and gets oil all over the stove). I can make it in the air popper, which gets popcorn everywhere in the kitchen. So this product is kind of great for me - put popcorn in the container, put the container in the microwave, listen for the kernals to stop popping, remove, pour into large bowl, season, and enjoy!I've been experimenting with the perfect amount/time. [sidenote: hilariously, there is a line to show where the "MAX" amount of popcorn should be, but it's printed on the inside. so from the outside, I read "XAM" and couldn't figure out what that meant.] Right now, about 1/2 C of popcorn kernels seems to take about 3 minutes to pop and fills the container to almost the brim, but every bag of popcorn/microwave is different, so experiment! It's best to remove the container from the microwave by the blue edge; it doesn't retain as much heat as the silicone. The vents are really helpful for not burning your hands on the steam. There are still some unpopped kernals, but not a tremendous amount. I like to season with a mixture of coconut oil and a dab of butter, plus salt, though I prefer to season in another bowl and not in the popping container (because I'm usually making another round of popcorn). Clean up is easy; we hand-wash with soap and water, although it can be washed in the dishwasher. I love the collapsible aspect, which saves room in my small kitchen.Overall, a good purchase and at $16 (at time of review), it's a good value.

Hey y’all, My favorite way to make popcorn is in the microwave. Before getting this product, I used a bowl and plate for the lid. This product is so much better! It is easy to use and collapses for storage. There were no guidelines for popping so I gave it a best guess -out of the four batches I popped, the best one was popped at 2 minutes 15 seconds. What a great product - easy to use and clean. I am pleased with it.

I used it once so far and am extremely impressed. I noticed some of the poor reviews because the directions are not in the box or on the box. They are on this page, along with a video, just a little searching is needed. I followed the instructions, and I made a little adjustment to the directions because each microwave is different. For other popcorn makers experimenting with popcorn time, the popcorn would always burn. I am happy to say there was no burnt popcorn! The amount of popcorn made is sufficient of popcorn for me. In addition, It's easy to hand wash and store

This product really works to my surprise. I have used it twice so far. 0n my first try, I didn’t measure the amount of kernels so all of them did not pop. On my second try, I cut the amount which resulted in less un popped kernels.

I've never used a microwave popcorn popper before, because my limited experience using covered bowls or other containers didn't work well. However, this silicone popcorn popper performed great! Nearly every kernel popped...the shape of the bottom seems to "funnel" the unpopped kernels down to the bottom, so they get popped without the popped ones getting stuck and burned on the bottom. It couldn't have been easier to use -- pour in the popcorn kernels, screw on the lid, and put it in the microwave. As there were no instructions, I needed to keep adding time until all the corn popped...but next time I'll have a better idea of how long to set it. This definitely outperformed my air-popper, and was way easier to use and didn't make a mess on the counter and floor. It that it might be possible to put a pat of butter into the popper along with the kernels so it butters as it pops, but I haven't tried that yet. The popper makes a great bowl, too, for eating the popcorn. Because it is smooth inside, it's very easy to clean. I like that it collapses for storage, because I have a very small kitchen.
