I measured my pipe and it was 3/4", and this nut advertised 3/4" (which is what I needed). I received it and the hole size is 1". I should have paid closer attention to the "3/4" BSP". Does BSP stand for "BRITISH STANDARD PIPE", maybe - who knows. The seller should do a better job describing what this is and what it is used for.

I needed these to move an old bathroom faucet to a new sink. The older ones had cracked and these were hard to find. These fit perfectly but I thought they should have been cheaper. Also it would have been nice if they were sold in packs of two instead of 4.
