One important note regarding the dimensions: my bass drum measures 22'' in diameter x 20'' in depth. SKB advertises its cases in terms of depth x diameter. The internal depth of this case is closer to 23-24'' rather than 20''.I ended up replacing with a 16x22 case and it fits my drum like a glove.Unsure if this inaccuracy is consistent among all SKB cases but in the process of finding out now :)Oh yea, these are the best hard cases you'll ever find IMHO.

The case is amazing, however, my bass drum is a 20x22 and the case is slightly large. There is little bit of wiggle room in the case, not enough to worry about, but its good to know. I suggest really measuring your drum instead of going by just the specs.

Use thing thing several times a month to gig around California. This was the only (yes, ONLY) kick drum case I could find to fit my massive bass drum, and even then, it barely fits it. But yes, a snug fit. Love this guy.

I have a Mapex Orion set that I gig with every weekend and needed cases that I could count on to protect my drums even when other band members or fans "help" me! My old kit got pretty scratched up in the mixture of bags and cheap cases I had before, but the SKB's are excellent. They do cost more than others, but I think it's worth it. Each tom case fits in the next smallest case so that I'm able to put them away in the corner at rehearsals and gigs without taking up too much space. I recommend these above any cases I have seen.
