Little dissapointed, this happened either end of last season, or over the summer, but the engineering and sewing could use some help

Very pleased with this harness. Used it for my 3.5 year old for the training slopes and was easy to use the leash when needed and the handle on the back helps so much with picking him up or helping in guiding him around. Definitely will be using it for seasons to come for the lifts. The backpack part on it is great for storage of the leashes and holding snacks and juice boxes for him. I recommend it. And a friend of mine was even able to help out when I needed a break and she found the harness was a great investment and easy to use.

Purchased this for our 3y/o son and found it to be very helpful in teaching him to ski. Now 3 years later he still uses the backpack for storage of mountain treats. Very durable and useful product.

We ordered this after taking our two boys skiing with another similar pack. It worked extremely well, but we quickly found we needed two as they started fighting over it. I was a bit surprised to see when it came that it was exactly the same as our previous one except the branding tags. That said, I'm not mad as this was what we wanted.I am not a ski instructor, but have been skiing, snowboarding, and teaching friends and family to do both for almost 25 years. Until I had my own children though, I had never taught kids. These packs really help a lot when there is a large height difference. The guiding I had always done previously only really works when your shoulders are close in height. Using the straps I can give a few gentle nudges, and keep them from either turning too sharply, or running out of control down the hill. More importantly it gives them the space needed to perform the movements to control their board/skis without me trampling them. This way they actually get a feel for it. Feeling really cannot be verbally explained, so it is especially important for them to experience when learning. The belt is more designed for skis, as the loops the leads connect to cannot run all the way over the front of the belt due to the buckle being there. The loops do run forward of the waist a bit though, so it works well enough in a side profile for snowboarding. For snowplow position on a board, or skiing tips down though, a lead to either side of the waist works perfectly. The pack is not huge, but I don't think you want to put much of anything in there anyway. Any weight back there will make an already difficult day even harder by throwing off their balance before they've even learned to stand on their gear. It is a convenient place to store the leads when not in use though. The top handle can be used to help kids off the chairlift, though it is not a comfortable harness to hang from, so I would only use this as a plan B. It is a lot more comfortable than getting whacked by a spinning chair though, so I appreciated it when I needed it.Overall, a great product at a good price and I recommend it.

Good quality bag. Material seems durable.Easy to use, has two straps for ski, or can use one strap for for snowboard use.The strap has a convenient shock absorption so you don't always have tension on the strap. This helps the toddler to learn. The backpack is good for 2yrs to 8yrs.Has convenient pockets to carry small stuff too.I can recommend this without hesitation!

The Skiguard safety harness is comfortable, functional and easy to use. This harness is well made with strong straps and ample padding on the back. It's a good method for kids to start learning to ski safely. It functions as both a harness and a mini storage backpack, that's big enough to hold some personal items. The bag feels durable and well-made. But it's also quite portable, lightweight and easy to take along on the chairlift, without feeling weighed down. The harness has adjustable straps, so it's easy to establish just the right amount of length to accommodate the height of the child. The straps feel strong and have a bungee cord so they have a great amount of flexibility to allow kids to roam safely, without bouncing back too hard. They also have a decent amount of shock absorption. The padding on the back is very comfortable. Overall, this harness is a great, safe way to start learning to ski. Full marks from me!

Harness for skiing works well so long as you size it correctly and then tie a knot in the under arm straps so it doesn't loosen, otherwise the straps are too smooth to hold their place when any kind of load is placed on it. So far I've been able to grab my kiddo by the back handle or the waist strap when needed to haul her off the chair lift ramp. The leash is properly placed at the waist/ hips so it doesn't pull her off-balance, I would have liked it to be a bit longer to give her more freedom as her skills increase - maybe can rig something up with other straps as they just attach to loops on the harness.I like the backpack design, which I use to stuff the leash in when not in use. The leg straps help hold the top half in place, and there's no danger of her slipping out of it. She's currently turning 3 so I'm not sure if the buckles will hold up to her weight later on but by then she shouldn't need it anyways (here's hoping!).

I love the skiguard brand. They make quality ski products that capture the essence of the challenges we skiers face. And there is no more gripping an ordeal than teaching your little mini-me to ski without fear. I don't want to tame my spunky kid's wild abandon. I just don't want him hurt or escaping my reach when he decides he has wings to fly! And as much as he wants to be on his own, I know that his confidence comes from being tied to me skiing behind him, far enough away but still in control. It's a win-win when done right. This harness is smartly designed and ruggedly constructed, in catchy vivid colors, to make my little skier feel like the gear is for the big guys when he is wearing it. He enjoys suiting up, it's HIS backpack and the point of being tethered doesn't come to the forefront. Sometimes when there is no downhill he is NOT tethered, just wearing the harness and backpack like real skiers do. When I grab the reins it is "Don't lose mommy!" and not the other way around. Let me also mention, on two occasions, when we went to a very busy mall during a 50% SALE frenzy, and then at an outdoor concert that was packed, I had him wear this harness, telling him it will show everyone you're a skier, when it was actually to ensure that he was safely tethered to me in a chaotic crowd where he could easily be snatched, even with me right there. Or worse yet, if there was ever a crowd stampede. It's a crazy world, and he is my most precious possession. SO what I am saying is that this harness could also be advertised and sold as personal protection equipment for kids too big for a stroller who can easily let go of your hand. Thank you skiguard for including the whole family in creating wonderful dependable and fashionable products that make our lives so much better!
