I like that I can set the pressure and it will stop inflation at that pressure. I like the display, convenient for car tire pressure. And I like that I don't have to get an extension cord each time I use it. And I like the price.I don't like the box in the page description "Frequently returned item". I wonder if people buy not realizing it is a 12v tool. No problem with mine so far.I paired this with a PWRCore 12 4.0Ah battery. It works fine with it, unit is well balanced and won't tip over. It is my first Skil 12V tool, I wish I didn't have to add another charger to my collection. Someday they will make universal chargers that work with all battery voltages within a brand. I have been positively impressed with 12V cordless tools from various brands, so I didn't mind taking the plunge. This is also my second brushless tool. I previously stayed away because of the price premium. Now that they are commonly available, prices came down.I had previously used an m12 unit, strangely similar. Back then I had my doubts but it did the job. This Skil inflator is currently affordable compared to the competition. And it inflates tires when I need it.

I had a couple other Skil 12 V battery operated tools, and my old cigarette lighter powered air pump was getting problematic, so I went ahead and ordered one of these. So far I’ve been very happy with it. As with all battery operated tools, not having to plug it in makes using it feel like a bit less of a chore, so I find I’m actually better about staying up on my car and bike tire pressures now. It pumps up bike tires very quickly, though cars obviously take longer. I don’t find it to be any slower than my old pump, though, and it’s fast enough for my occasional needs.My only criticisms would be that there are no presets, and it doesn’t remember your last setting once you power it off. I also find that I frequently hit the power button instead of the play/pause button accidentally, and then have to sit and readjust it back up to the target pressure. This is especially annoying when I’m trying to put 65 pounds of air into my bike tires and the unit defaults to 5 pounds when turned on.Overall, I’m happy with it. Hoping it proves reliable over the long term.

Like many people I did some comparisons to Milwaukee's 12V compressor and after seeing reviews of some other 12v tools from Skil I decided to try this out along with a Drill/right angle impact combo so I could get a battery and charger to use with all 3 tools. It's only a 2AH battery, more info on that below.I was concerned because the valve stems on one of my car's wheels is a bit hard to reach (as I've learned with those compressors at gas stations) and I was worried this right angle one wouldn't work with it. Milwaukee's inflator has a twist on end instead of the right angle but I figured I could return this if it was a huge problem. Long story short it really doesn't fit (but most cars have normal wheels with easy to reach valve stems so that in particular shouldn't be a problem for most people) but thankfully it works fine with this extension!Obviously if you'd just prefer having a quick change hose anyway I'd recommend it for ease of use, it's well reviewed and as long as it's on there far enough it shouldn't leak. The braided outsides of both hoses look/feel exactly the same so it's like they're made for eachother! It also still works with the hose wrap built into the tool, although the extension does flop around a bit.This thing is super easy to use (except for when I press the power button when I mean to press the play/pause button but I'm sure once I've had it longer I won't make that mistake anymore, I've only had the thing for a few days), you just set it to the PSI you want, hit the play button, and just wait for it to finish! As other reviewers mentioned it's a bit difficult to read in direct sunlight but it's not terrible.One note is often times with drills you can still do a lot of work when you're pretty low on battery, anything moving air I've learned this isn't the case. This is also true for my cordless (18V) Makita ShopVac. I did some heavy work with my new Skil impact driver and left the battery in my car during the day to later use in this tool in the evening. It was 20°F out where unfortunately the battery was too low to continue. After charging it up (for the advertised PWRJUMP 5 minutes gets you 25% battery) and going to pump up the next tire I kinda gave up and let the battery charge overnight instead. It uses enough power that I went from full to 3 bars to pump up the remaining tires (and it showed 2 bars of battery while it was running but got back up to 3 bars when I was done) but it did so in a timely manner without a lot of noise. I plan to buy a 4AH battery with this and keep this in my toolbag, all 3 tools and the charger fit in a little toolbag I have and should fit well in my cars, the moral of this story is to keep the battery charged for when you need it.Note you can change from PSI to BAR or KPA (which is hilarious to me because my car lists pressures in kg/cm² which I've learned it quite obscure these days) by pressing the plus and minus buttons at the same time. Note KPA only does numbers ending in 0 for whatever reason.This unit is pretty accurate, I tested this on 2 different pressure gauges and the reading from the unit was pretty much what was on my testers which is really nice. Note I think this adds an extra .5 PSI to account for the potential air loss when detaching the hose but because I have that quick detach extension I don't have to worry about that.Now for value, as of January 2023 pricing if you were to buy this bare tool plus a charger and a 2AH battery you're looking at $45+$35+$30=$110 (swap the $30 with $40 for a total of $120 if you want a 4AH battery, add $10 if you want the extension, note they sell a more expensive charger for $39 but I took the liberty of going with the slightly cheaper one) or if you're like me I paid $150 for the right angle impact/drill kit plus $45 for this (plus $10 for the extension) so $205 roughly. So for $85 more than buying the battery and charger individually you get a charger that costs $4 more (so it must be better right? It is slightly bigger though) and each extra tool is worth maybe $50 apice (the right angle isn't sold tool only so it's hard to determine value) it was worth it for me since I wanted those tools. Roughly a $165 value for $85, not bad! Hopefully my math is correct.Compare that to Milwaukee, I'm not going to even do all of the math because the -tire inflator alone- without the charger is $120, the same price as buying this tool plus the 4AH battery and the cheaper charger. For me personally I would be looking at $480 for the tools -I personally- would want. Since I'm not a professional I'll take the Skil at this point, it has a 3-5 year warranty and I'm not a contractor so I don't anticipate using them enough to justify the contractor grade Milwaukee tools.But yeah, if this all sounds good, buy this I guess. I'll update the review if it doesn't work out, so far this thing rocks!Edit: A day after I wrote this review I got a flat tire! It was a fast leak and I had to pull over, I wasn't far from home and I figured I could try pumping this up first. Nope, no tire pressure. Well no worries, I swapped in my spare tire and what do ya know it was flat. I already had my now trustee tire pump out, I pumped that thing up from 0 PSI all the way up to 58 PSI before it died, not bad! It was only 30°F out so that might have helped a lot too. So that's with me goofing off with the thing for this review multiple times, trying to pump up a tire with a large screw hole for about a minute, and actually trying to pump up the spare tire from mostly flat, all from a little 2AH battery! But yeah, I'll probably just grab a 4AH battery now that I know the limits but hopefully that helps you.

I hated the connector that came on the hose because it was hard for me to manage without letting lots of air escape. (Girl thing?) Anyway, this hose connection is metal (feels sturdier) has a quick release that is easy to connect and disconnect.The added hose connector looks a little strange but it works great. I especially appreciate it this weekend because I have a slow leak in a tire and have to work both days! This little Skil Power Core 12 compressor brought the tire from 0 to 40 psi this morning and has topped off the tire a few times since.It has a place of honor in the front seat until Monday when the repair shops open. I would love to keep it onboard always but doubt that is a good idea anytime other than winter months.

Me encanto este inflador por su diseño (Sin complicaciones). Es muy cómodo y práctico para pararlo y liviano (aún con la batería instalada). Alcanza una presión máxima de 160 PSI; y cuando alcanza el valor seteado y/o seleccionado (De 3 hasta 160 PSI), se detiene automáticamente. Ya lo utilice en un par de ocasiones y sin ningún problema. Una observación, el cargador y la bateria son difíciles de conseguir en México por separado. Si se deciden a comprarlo, lo mejor es lo adquieran como Combo (Herramienta, Batería y Cargador). Su batería es compatible con herramientas PWRCORE SKIL cordless a 12 Volts únicamente. Lo mejor de todo, cuenta con una garantía de 3 años, extendible a 5 años si se registran en su portal web. Lo recomiendo 100 %, lo volvería a comprar.
