I got the impression from the photos that this was a collapsible tool, but it arrived fully assembly and doesn’t not break down to a smaller form. It’s a full 5’+ in length. Not really a problem, but I was hoping it would be more storable.Living in south Florida, we get plenty of snakes and rats in places we don’t want them and I got tired of shooing things off the lanai with a stick or broom and this will work perfectly. The length is great for keeping a safe distance from whatever you’re grabbing and it’s relatively lightweight and easy to handle. The anodized aluminum shaft is firm and feels of good construction, so does the handle and grabbing end. I appreciate the rubber collar on the shaft so you can hold the grabber with one hand and control the handle pressure with your other hand so you’re not slicing the animal in half. The jaws have small teeth on them to help hold your critters in place too which is great for snakes.

This is actually a well built solid tool (see pictures). I recommend the 59" size— it comes as one piece and while it's pretty long it's light weight and still pretty easy to manipulate. I am able to aim, grab and hold one handed. Once loaded I have to grab the mid-grip to have enough leverage to lift, which is fine. The single piece double-riveted tube is metal and seems durable. The locking mechanism is tight and will certainly injure larger snakes in order to hold them in place. The hook tipped design is also useful for other purposes. Yesterday I had to pull a wet beach towel from the bottom of a water tank. Between the length of my arm and the Snake Grabber Tool I was able to reach it and pull the water laden towel out easily.

This grabbing tool is amazing. It is so long and works so well that I felt really safe when I needed to catch a snake in my yard recently. I love that the tool can come in two separate lengths and I do not want to be near snakes for any reason so I chose the longer option. The grabber is easy to use and I was strong enough to squeeze the handle to firmly close the pinchers. I also felt that the design is great for both women and men to use and I appreciate that it is so heavy-duty. This is a great value for the money and I know we will use it a lot in our yard and surrounding land. I am really happy with it.

This snake grabber feels solidly built, but the mechanism inside is super loud. You're not going to be sneaking up onto anything with ears. The metal rod inside to control the grabbing will constantly rattle the instant you touch the trigger. Otherwise the grabbing motion does feel very solid, and the pole is plenty long to keep your distance. I don't have any experience with other snake grabbers, so I have no thing to compare this to, but it feels like it will get the job done.

I will admit that I haven't needed to actually use this on a real snake yet, but I can see that this should work just fine. It comes assembled and is ready to use right out of the box. It's well-balanced and well-made.The quality of the materials is very good and even though it's pretty heavy duty it's still relatively lightweight. It's easy to use and gives you plenty of distance to safely handle snakes. It's not cheap, but for what you're getting I believe it's a fair price.Mechanically it's a simple squeeze handle that is easy to put just as much pressure as you's like to use. There's a handle lock to secure it in the closed position. It functions well and the operation is self-explanatory.

My partner is deathly afraid of snakes. I like them however. But we do occasionally have run ins with them on the property around the apartment… or in the hallway of the apartment haha. So getting this was like a preventative to help my partner feel less anxious. It’s huge, it’s well built and easy to close and open. I highly recommend it.

I got this 47-inch Snake Grabber Tool not necessarily for snakes (although I am not ruling that out) but to help grab things around the yard and garage and utility—and it works perfectly! The tool is lightweight but sturdy thanks to the all-aluminum build, and the anti-slip grip makes it easy to use, even one-handed. Seriously, this is a premium device, not a plastic toy. The wide clamper with metal "jaws" gives a solid hold on anything from branches and trash to items that fall behind furniture. I have used it multiple times already to grab socks and washcloths that fall behind the washer and dryer. While it’s clearly designed for reptile handling, it’s a surprisingly handy multi-purpose tool to have around. Highly recommend if you need a little extra reach and control—whether you're dealing with critters or just cleaning up the yard. And while I live in Ohio so we don't see a lot of snakes, I'm excited to try this on a snake!

Guys, I'm going to be real with you. I had made a snake catching device that involved PVC pipe and 550 paracord loop that I would use to try and snag snakes out of my chicken coop. MY wife has a video of me screaming like a child as I pulled a 6+ foot black rat snake out of my coop with my barehands.Basically, this device will keep you from becoming the old me. It's works amazingly well and doesn't hurt the snake. The jaws are angled perfectly to scope under the nope rope while you are standing at a safe distance away. The handle is easy to squeeze and the jaws are very secure. Super well made. I just wish I had it before now.
