My local hardware store wants almost twice the price for the exact same screws. I use these to connect railing posts to the deck. They hold the notched 4x4 in place and they meet code requirements for deck construction. I used the same type of screws, albeit longer, to attach the 6x6 posts. Very good value.

These timber screws fasten well and don’t really split if applied correctly. The only complaint is that they will take significantly more force to apply than the more expensive screws. If you have a half inch driver you will be fine but will struggle with 1/4 depending on your wood. Overall happy with them for the price and would buy again.

Desert sand epoxy coating. Use T-30 Torx bit just like the GRK fasteners which is nice. I use a lot of this type of fastener and I'm happy with this purchase.

These thing are awesome. I used them to mount a 2x8 to which I mounted a Michelin tire rack.I actually have two racks for wheels/tires for two different vehicles and use these fasteners on both the 2x8 to the studs and tire rack to the 2x8.They cut right through the old studs and hold the 300-380 lbs very securely.
