DAN SPEED S304 Stainless Steel 90 Degree Street Elbow

The pipe fitting is a 90-degree street elbow with male and female National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads for changing flow direction between two pipes. Class is a standard relating to tolerance, construction, dimension, and wall thickness, but it is not a direct measurement of maximum working pressure. Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).

I did this job 5 times due to some really bad elbows. I first used typical plumbers Teflon tape and ended up with drips everywhere. Second try was tape again but used extra and they dripped again. Then I figured I'd switch to plumbers pipe dope and they still dripped. on my fourth attempt I tried plumbers pipe dope again and let it set for 24 hours and again they dripped immediately upon applying standard city water pressure. Nothing would seal the threads and if you look at the pictures you are not seeing crossed threads, the threads are cut in the female end in such a way that they are not true, they are not 90 degrees. Then I went to my local orange big box store, they had them in stock with no wait, I paid a little more but first time pipe tap and not a single drip. Look at me second picture, yep they are made in china but they work and are darn near true 90 degree elbows.Amazon needs to remove product like these from their market place. Absolute junk.

Just what I was looking for, but the outside edges are a little rough, not at all smooth but it will work for my needs.
