I got this 6-string set thinking, they were on sale and I could put them on my Sadowsky 5 string. They weren’t great but I played them on a few jobs. Then they prematurely went dead and started having intonation issues. I love Dunlop’s picks and other accessories but these strings weren’t great.

damn these sound great on my fretless Yamaha. tuned to low Bb is a little loose for these but they still project tone and have great character

Good strings I guess. The A string snapped when I was putting it on and I didn’t even tune it all the way. Other then that these strings were ok. Just not for me though.

I was a little concerned that I may have to file the nut on my ESP Stream to use these Dunlop Extra Heavy strings but, these strings dropped right in with no modification necessary.I love being able to use a drop C tuning without slack in my strings. These Dunlop strings stay in tune really well, sound bright, and really match that resonant low end I am after when I cover my favorite drop tuned songs. I hope you find them to be as enjoyable to play with as I have.

For metal tones, these are some of the best strings I've used for my 5-String Cort. I did a lot of research before picking these up and tried something new. I had never bought stainless steel strings before, but after reading I noticed that many metal bassists use that material. I'm currently using Dunlop's signature Zakk Wylde Hardcore strings on my DBZ, which I love, so it was an easy choice to grab these up.
