Reduced wall thickness helps improve access to fasteners in restricted areas. All Impact sockets feature one through hole and a groove to accept a retaining ring and pin to secure the socket to the power tool anvil. Chamfered service ends for quick and positive fastener engagement. Proto 6 Point Impact Sockets are ideal for use on stubborn or damaged fasteners and also on fasteners made from soft materials. The TorquePlus design is a high performance drive configuration which allows for quick and easy socket engagement to the fastener flats, not the corners. The TorquePlus configuration employs a radius-corner design, shifting contact area and stress away from the fastener corners and distributing contact stresses over a large area of the socket, minimizing slippage. The TorquePlus internal design minimizes fastener rounding, helps to extend fastener life and allows the user to more easily turn worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners. Thin wall sockets are lightweight. Designed to fit into smaller spaces. Thinner walls help improve productivity by making it easier to gain access to fasteners in confined spaces. Extra deep length helps improve access in confined areas. Often used in application where fasteners are close together, such as tire service.

Bought this to remove lug nuts from the wheels on my car. The socket did that with ease. Proto has an excellent reputation and it continues with this socket. Made in USA quality.

Excellent product...what else is there to say? I trust Stanley products and this is a good one. Have used it on the trailer lug nuts and it did a great job and withstood the impact for removal and install that I needed.

I've seen thinner "thin wall socket" but is doing the job I need it to do. Quality looks to be good.

So far so good. Used it once. Worked great on getting my lug nutts off of my wheel spacers. Fit inside tight opening great. Seems to be quality made. Time will tell.

I use the socket on my wheels on my street rod where space is tight I needed a thin wall half inch socket and this one works great

wanted a thin wall socket to remove tire nuts on my chrome rims, the socket would not fit some of the nuts
