Cheap, heavy, and flimsy. Will not buy the cheapest possible crankset next time.

I was skeptical about this crankset at first due to its limited description and lack of ratings, but the low price tempted me to take a chance on it. Goes without saying that you're not getting Ultegra quality, but you're not paying Ultegra price either. My rating is based on the function of the product relative to its value, of course. This crankset is heavy, but it's durable. It makes for a perfect replacement on an old road bike if you're not concerned about weight (and if you're name isn't Lance Armstrong, you shouldn't be counting grams). I put it on my '70s Motobecane and haven't had an issue. I ride on it daily, and in all conditions. I've had no problem with noise or interference of the outer chain guard as others mentioned, although that seems like an easy fix.Only reason I deducted a star was for poor packaging. It came in an bubble mailer with one crankarm halfway out of a hole torn in the envelope. Nothing was damaged, but I can see how others have received bent guards.

I got this crankset to put on a 1978 Univega. While I really liked the original crankset (SR Silstar), the crankarm on the drive side was bent (due to a crash), and this crankset was the next closest I could find that looked right on a "vintage" bike. I am very happy with the Sunlite crankset. Like the previous poster mentioned, the chain guard was a little bent, but was easily straightened. One other thing to check is your bottom bracket size/length and chain line. My older crankset took a longer bottom bracket axle. I needed a 116mm bottom bracket axle to get the correct chain line with this crankset.Overall I am pleased with how the cranks look, and while they are heavy, the price was right and they're fine for my refurbished utility/cruiser bike.

This crankset is heavy, but it is the cheapest available. The chainguard was somewhat bent, but it bent into position with no effort at all. If you're wanting to restore an old bike or you don't care about the weight, this is the crankset for you. If you are planning to fix your road bike, however, this may be too heavy for that.
