Worked great! It would be helpful if there was a message stating that you must adjust the Allen screw to match your existing adjustment. If not you may think the unit is defective because it will lock and not open until the linkage is released.

installed it two weeks ago and seems to be vdoing what it is supposed to do. one has to be smarter than the part they are installing.

It looks like the original part and has a good weight to it, which hopefully translates for quality. However, when I got the part, one of the retaining clips was broken, but I was able to get the clip off the OEM part. Also I had a similar issue with the “metal bar” being too long as other reviewers noted. In order to make it work (so that the door would open) I had to bend the piece to make it slightly shorter, but I got it to work. Otherwise, it lock and unlocks the door, which is what I needed.
