I like a dry sounding snare. I use a hybrid head and this accompanies great!

I'm exploring the idea of fewer snare wires and wanted to try a 12-strand strainer on my drums. These fill the bill. You can watch some good comparison videos on the Tama website. I find tonal differences from changing the snare wire count to be pretty subtle, but looking for less snare rattle overall and I think these move in that direction compared to, say, 20 strands.
