From the Manufacturer

Tailor-made for .22 rimfire rifles, Tasco's .22 riflescopes will bring out your rifle's best performance and accuracy when hunting, plinking, or punching paper targets. Featuring full-sized, 1-inch Advanced Monotube Construction, 50-yard parallax setting, and rings to fit standard .22 bases, this scope lives up to Tasco's well-earned reputation for quality, value, and reliability. Magenta multi-layered lens coatings and fully coated optics provide bright, clear images, and 100% waterproof and fogproof construction assure your hunt will never be rained out.

This scope has a matte finish, with a bright, clear image and a wide range of magnification. It features a 30/30 reticle; rings included.

  • 3-9x variable magnification
  • 32mm objective lens
  • Matte finish
  • Magenta coating (reduced reflection, fully coated optics throughout) Tech Talk
    • What the Numbers Mean: The numbers for each scope tell you the scopeÕs power or magnification rating, whether the magnification can be increased or decreased with a zoom dial, and the diameter of the objective lens. So, a 3-9x40mm is a scope with a variable zoom magnification from 3x to 9x with a 40 millimeter objective lens.
    • How Much Magnification: Because high-powered riflescopes have a smaller field-of-view than a lower powered scope, choose your magnification with the distance you will be shooting in mind. Use low power for close shots in brush or deep woods and high power when hunting distant game in the mountains, open fields and prairie.
    • Fixed vs. Zoom Magnification: Variable power scopes, or zooms, offer the benefits of high, medium and low powers, all in one scope. Zooms are particularly advantageous in changing light, weather, environmental conditions or geographic locations and when you're hunting different types of game. In short, variables enable the hunter to use the scope under various circumstances--from close-in brush hunting to open range hunting. Fixed or low power scopes are recommended for hunting dangerous game, especially at close range or in dense foliage where a wide field of view is required and where a mistake in distance estimation could have dire consequences.

great value for the money. It's not a Leupold; the eye box is not as good, but the view is quite clear and reasonably large image, for the price it is a great 22 riflescope for plinking.

Tasco reliability and clear optics. Put it on a .22 bolt rifle. It’s great ! I know because I had and used a lot of scopes

I put this on my 22 rifle, and it looks and works perfectly. I went back to buy a second one for another 22 rifle but was shocked that the price almost doubled! It went from 35.00 to 65.00 in just a little over 2 months. I just googled it and it's available at Tasco for 49.99.

BIG DISCLAIMER BEFORE BUYING! The standard rings that come with this scope do not fit a standard Picatinny rail. I am not the most versed in guns, so maybe some of you will already know that. The install is easy, but I was not aware that it would not fit my rail prior to purchasing. I bought the Weaver Quad Lock 1-Inch Medium Detachable Rings to go with this. Overall this is a great scope for the price you are paying. Obviously it isn't a Leupold, but it can't be compared with the price difference. The various magnifications, and adjustments, make this a great budget scope for your small-caliber rifle.

Overall a very good product. The only issue I had was I was mounting it on a Talley mount. The rings that came with it wouldn't work so I had to purchase a set of Weaver mounting rings. Sighting in was simple and got down to dead on at 30 yards. I will push that out in later range visits.

Let me start by saying that this scope is really a 5 star scope (scope itself). I'm keeping it because the quality is clearly there. The optics are good, and it seems well made. It’s actually pretty impressive for no more than I paid for it.On to the real reason I'm writing this review. I am admittedly a poor mechanic, and definitely no gunsmith. I'm not entirely clueless, however, and I can tell you for certain that the rings are a CRUEL JOKE. They CANNOT be made to fit EITHER a Picatinny rail (which I bought from Amazon for my rifle), OR a Weaver type system. I have both and trust me, they’re too narrow for either mount. The rings seem to be of a good quality, but the profile cut where the rings are supposed to clamp to the mount on the rifle doesn't even match the profile of a Picatinny rail, and they are nearly 1/4 inch too narrow to clamp over it even if the profile was right. They’re definitely not wide enough for the Weaver type mount I have on another rifle either (I tried both, as noted above).Plan on buying some different rings for this, and make sure they are advertised as fitting a Picatinny / Weaver mounting system. I did, and the scope mounted up effortlessly with the right rings. Whoever decided to put these rings on this nice scope should find a job stocking grocery shelves (if they’re qualified).Again, absent this totally absurd issue with the rings, this is a 5 star scope. If you can figure out how to mount it.

I used this differntly than most. I bought a small childs 22 rimfire to deal with nuisance animals, racoons, possums, and squirrels. Eating through gutters, tearing up plants, going through trash etc. It had iron sights and no scope mount holes. We move to the country and the problem became mostly squirrels. Instead of close range they were often 100 feet away. In the shade it was really difficult to see the sights on the target. I got this scope. I was worried about the bad reviews and decided they must have been defective units. I was able to buy a restock at a good price here. I bought some see through mounts (so the iron sights still worked) and the weaver mounting pads. I bench mounted the rifle and aimed a laser (pain) through the barrel at 25'. I changed out the mounts on my scope aligned them with level and epoxied the pads to the barrel keeping the crosshair verticle on the laser dot till it set (also a pain) the barrel tapers so I knew it wouldn't line up vitically. The next day I set up a target and began sightinging in the scope. The scope does exactly what I wanted. I use it in lowest power, 3x. The first shots were about 8" down and to the right. I am old so I am a little shaky. I don't expect a perfect group. I probably had to add 25 clicks up and 5p to the left. The shots moved consistently to the target dot. I only need one shot per adjustment. My final alignment group of three shots was a diagonal 1 inch long. Pretty consistent with my lack of muscle control. I saw no variation from shot to shot that indicated a scope problem. The view is clear and easy to shoot. I did not try changing zoom and should not need to. I was surprised by how well this worked. It comes with window covers one that has a high contrast amber lens. The mounts that came with it were nicely machine aluminum. They are nicer than what I put on, just not see through. I can't think of a single critisism. I gave it all 5.
