I bought this thermometer to test my oven temperature. Besides being wildly off the oven temperature setting (25 degrees off), it took a long time to get to its final reading. I expected that the thermometer would read the oven temperature at the time the oven was preheated.I specifically bought a Taylor instrument because I thought they were noted for accurate measurement tools. Maybe at one time they were, but I suspect they lost a lot when they outsourced manufacturing to China, where this instrument was made. Another case of Chinese junk.Taylor, if you ever see this, please start making your products in the USA. I'd pay a little more for something accurate, responsive, and made here.
