Your cart is empty.The tecnifibre black code is pentagonal polyester string designed to have better elasticity which delivers more pop a bigger sweet spot and less shock at impact. The string also has a pentagonal shape for increased spin and feel. It's aimed at frequent string-breakers and can be used as the durability half of a hybrid.

Likes: It's a very good string overall. I use it in a hybrid and full bed without any downsides.Dislikes: Only slightly hard to knot when stringing.

I buy this string because it gives me power, control and spin on my Wilson blade version seven. The Blade has a dense 16 x 19 string pattern and I typically like a little more space in between my strings for feel and spin. The 18 gauge gives me that in addition to more power on this low power racket. This is also a shaped string so it gives me an extra bite. The durability is very good and I have never broken a string using Black Code.

I use a hybrid of Black Code 17 Ga in the longs at 62 lbs and BC 18 Ga in the crosses at 60 lbs.It gives me excellent control and spin without excess power (sailing the ball Long) from the baseline, but great power and control at the net.I tried 18 Ga Black Code all around, but broke strings too quickly.It does seem to take perhaps 10 mph off the serve, reducing the speed from 124 mph max to 114 mph max, but I can slide the ball out wider.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Update 2014: I ended up moving the tension to 65# with 17ga longs and 60 lbs with 18ga crosses. This works well on both Prince and Wilson racquets with the bed feeling slightly softer on the Prince and a little more speed and power from the Wilson # code series.
