Your cart is empty.The TJ transfer case lowering kit lowers the transfer case 1/2" to reduce driveshaft vibration caused by increased ride height in excess of two inches. This is especially useful for Jeeps that do not have adjustable control arms, or that have not installed a slope yoke eliminator kit.

Although it comes with all hardware, these are the wrong bolts regardless of year. Had to purchase 6 new grade 8 boltsThese are too tight for the factory applications to the point the threads on the bolts stripped out. Appear to be grade 5 hardware (CHEAP)I tapped the old threads out prior to installing new bolts and these bolts were still too snug. After purchasing 6 new bolts, the new bolts worked flawlessly.

I have a 1998 Jeep Wrangler (TJ). The lift kit installed by a specialty shop included a transfer case drop kit, but they got the wrong one - they got the one for 2003-and-up TJ, which has M12 bolts, which are slightly narrower than the 1/2" bolts that this kit contains. They worked their way out and dropped out over the course of a year of driving, culminating in an on-trail failure where the transfer case sagged a couple of inches and we had to do some emergency rearranging of the remaining bolts. The spacers also disappeared.This is the correct kit for a 1997-2002 TJ, with 1/2" bolts and conically tapered spacers (and conical washers) that fit correctly into the skid plate, which has a tapered rim around the bolt holes.I'm very happy with the apparent quality of the parts, as well as the instructions and packaging. This is solid stuff and it's easy to know that you put it on correctly since the instructions are so clear.
