I teach pole fitness and dance.I encourage students to buy this product. Allows 360 turns and I can work on pointin the toes and working the ankles while feeling the floor with my feet. Great fit. Sizing is accurate. Very durable. Clean appearance. Ideal for performances.

I bought these for my 7 year old, for contemporary. Not being a dancer it was really hard to order because the reviews on the sizing were LESS than helpful. I ordered a size XS for her and she wears a size 2 in kids shoes. When I pulled them out of the box, I almost panicked. They looked so small! We were able to get them on and so far are working. We could have gotten away with ordering a small, as they are bit snug. But... besides having a hard time ordering a size they are really good quality!

I can only say and review on what my nine year old granddaughter said when she received these in the mail. As she lives out of state. and that was, Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, they are amazing....... And off she went to dance class to brag as she was the only child who had a pair. (They live in a very small town)Footnote: Her mother says they fit her perfect and have helped to improve her skills and balance in class. She wore them in the production of the Nutcracker at Christmas. We flew up to see her perform as she has only been dancing for 8 months. She wore them in 3 of the 7 scenes she was in and she is amazing.

I bought these in a small (am size 6 in women's). Were MUCH smaller than anticipated. They keep your four smaller toes squished together when they're on. Also, these have a tiny bit of stretch in them, but not much. Pulling them a little further down on my foot didn't help; they ride back up towards the toes. They feel quite sturdy though (strong fabric, good stitching), and the suede pad on the bottom is in the right place. Am going to put them in the freezer with a ziploc bag filled with water inside them to see if that stretches them out enough.EDIT: Sticking them in the freezer overnight with a ziploc bag full of water inside them (and sticking out through the toe holes) did stretch them out to a size 6. They fit now! They're also a bit broken in; they're not as stiff as they were before. The dye is not waterfast though, so heads up!

I love these, but unfortunately, I based the size I bought on previous reviews. I wear an 8-8 1/2 (US) and bought a Large. I should have purchased a Medium, because they were too big and too loose. They slid right off. I ended up giving them to a friend who wears a 9 1/2-10 and they fit her perfectly. Other than that, these are very comfortable and perfect for dancing barefoot! I am a pole fitness instructor and like using these when I'm not wearing stilettos.

I bought these for bellydancing. I have always had a problem with turns on bare feet. My feet stick to the ground too much and it's hard to force the turns and pivots. My teacher thinks calluses are enough but she's a famous performer and I'm just a hobbyist ;) Plus I use my feet for more than just dancing and didn't want to make them too gnarly. These half-soles are the perfect amount of grip so you don't slide around, but slippery enough for turns and pivots to happen with no extra effort. I feel am in much better control than with bare feet.I also do aerial silks and trapeze, and have hurt the ball of my foot too many times from bad landings out of the air. If it is sensitive, the padding on these soles is enough to make a big difference to relieve the pain and avoid further injury when i am dancing on releve.I have not tried to use these on the aerial apparatuses yet, since foot grip is extra important to keep you from falling with certain moves. The only problem is sometimes the pinky end of the shoe slips off a little, not all the way off, but slips up my pinky toe and gets loose up there instead of staying tight down on the joint. But it doesn't inhibit use. Everyone's feet are shaped a little different so it might just be me.

I purchased this for use as a pad for my forefoot and to provide compression to my big and little toes. It works well on all accounts,When people see this, they think it is a special bandage. I tell them it is a dancer's shoe. I had surgery on my right foot and now have many complications. I needed something that offered compression circumferentially to my big toe, held in my little toe and provided padding to the center of my forefoot. Voila! This is it.I wear this inside my shoes. It is fairly small, but the neoprene is not thin enough to prevent all obstacles you would expect from wearing something like this inside your shoe. I have to wear wider shoes. But this has helped my overall comfort and improved my walking.I hand wash and then throw in the dryer on low.
