Your cart is empty.A revolutionary departure from a "traditional" classical string construction, every string is wound, even the first. Made like a fine violin string, the trebles are a braided metal rope core wound on with a flat nylon monofilament, while the basses are a perlon floss core wound on with a silver-plated bell bronze wire. For many years, the preferred strings of the top Brazilian guitarists, the Thomastik- John Pearse set gives unbelievable clarity, projection and volume-almost like a steel string-with no more tension on the guitar than a traditionally made firm tension classical set. 0.016.024.025.030.035.043.

I like these Thomastik-Infeld hybrid guitar strings. They feel great while playing fingerstyle and they give my acoustic guitars a bit of nylon string warmth. They sound great to my ears.Delivery took a while but the strings arrived in good playing condition.

Ok, hella expensive, but the difference in sound compared to conventional nylon strings is like night and day. I had tried Ernie Ball Earthwoods on a guitarele (3/4 size). Awful. Muddy, never stayed in tune. So bad the instrument was unplayable. So just tried the John Pearce folk strings made by Thomastik Infield. In contrast, these are bright and clear and project well, both treble and bass. If you care about your nylons string acoustic folk guitar's sound, you’ll try these!

Not sure why there are any bad reviews on these strings, they are really great. The tension is less than with steel strings, but that is why they exist I think. They are super easy to fret and sound great, I've had no issues on my guitars. Used on a full sized acoustic tuned E to E and a tiny Ibanez Piccolo tuned A to A - both have resulted in immediate improvement with playing comfort and in my opinion they sound better too. There is no loss of volume and they sound as bright as the D'addario's I had on before them. Playing bends and vibrato is so much better and sounds much better too. I'd say the main thing is if you've experienced problems with your hands having a tough time with hard feeling steel strings then these are the answer. They are soft and gentle with no loss of sound volume or quality. They have made a huge positive difference for me.

Totally distinct sound and feel. FOR those looking for strings which will give a nylon string guitar the edge of a steel string guitar, at least in the trebles—for example, terrific for blues. NOT FOR those who wish to retain the mellow quality of nylons and especially to be avoided by those who require the feel. As much anything else, it’s a feel thing. A lot of the allure of nylons is the way they feel and obviously that’s going to be lost with these. But they sound great: clear; strong fundamentals; good volume and sustain. And very interesting. If you’re willing to cough up their considerable expense, they might be worth checking out. Finally note: NOT FOR STEEL STRING GUITARS. There seems to be mixed reviews on this question. There shouldn’t be. Think about it: if a set of strings is going to have low enough tension to be safe for a classical guitar, it’s not going to exert enough tension to produce adequate volume from a steel stringer. Duh.

Très déçue de la qualité car la petite corde du Mi a cassé dès sa mise en place. Pourtant ce n'est pas la première fois qu'on en change on connaît donc la manœuvre.

Amazing strings. They play very easily. The G string broke when changing from the old Martin strings. That may be because I was treating it like a typical medium weight steel string.

I have not used these on my regular guitars but I strung up my kanilea gl6 guitalele and I won't ever buy regular guitalele strings ever again. I wish they weren't so pricey but they sound amazing. The sound is almost like that of steel strings but more soft/warm. I will be purchasing these again.

The protective sheath for the high E string was not made long enough. Without paying much attention, the nylon wound got wound up in the tuning rod, cause the nylon to break and some buzz. Trying to fix it resulted in unevenly distributed nylon, and string broke within 1hr and half. (in picture notice that the blue parts are above the lowest tuning rod)However the sound was excellent and the touch was sensational while it lasted. Recommend to tape around the part of the high E string that might go through the tuning rod before use
