This is a good fit for my guitar’s slightly thinner neck. It’s nicely made without sharp edges though a file might be good if you like a smooth edge for comfort.It might be a placebo effect since I didn’t record before and after but the guitar sounds slightly brighter now, which might help with tighter rhythm power chords, or a little more precise attack for lead. It’s almost nothing and I’d say this is mostly about cosmetic and hardness for longevity. For the price it’s nice to try and I like it.

This is overall a good quality pre-cut nut. I've used this with 10 gauge strings and it works fine. It's worth noting that this is slightly wider than most bone nuts and will require you to file out the slot just a hair to get it to fit.

This is a pretty easy and unique upgrade on a guitar. It definitely makes the string slightly brighter and zingier sounding.

This arrived well packaged. The nut is metalic and it is very close to a perfect replacement for my Les Paul style guitar. I had to file the front a bit to get it to sit in the nut slot. Then I had to file the base of the nut because all of the slots were high. It took a whole lot of filing to file down the base. This is the first metallic nut I've ever tried, and I won't likely be doing it again. It's a whole lot easier to work with bone or Graphtec. When I got it filed down, it worked fine. So, overall it's okay. And for around thirteen dollars I'll be sticking to other nut material for my nut replacements. If you definitely want a metallic nut, this one works.
