Sure it “works” but is an absolutely horrible typing experience. Unless you press the keys just right they don’t work. If you’re used to typing on any modern keyboard don’t buy this and go through the pain of installing. Also “backlit” is used generously as the only thing the lights up is the caps lock indicator. Save yourself the money.

Perfect fit, perform as OEM. Just be prepared it's not an easy job to replace the keyboard. It's fixed with permanent plastic pieces which need to be broken to take the old keyboard out. I have to use the hot glue on those broken fixtures to fix the new keyboard in place. Quite a time consuming task but the ending is pleasant (luckily).

Original keyboard had some keys that were no longer working. But replacing parts inside a notebook computer is always a test of your patience, your small tools, and the relevant YouTube how-to videos. Reaching this keyboard requires removing many screws; and detaching many small wires and multi-wire connectors. Then once the old keyboard is out, each wire and connector must be carefully but gently installed to insure a solid connection, but not damage the contacts.Doing so, every connector on the replacement keyboard fitted correctly, and did hook up. Every screw hole was correct in location and size. Definitely the part for the job. And now all the keys on my laptop work!

The buttons have a nice feel, and the labels are identical to the factory dell keyboard. The keyboard feels sturdy.That being said, changing this keyboard was time consuming and difficult. This is not the fault of the keyboard, but the design of the computer. Every single component in the computer needed to come out to get to the keyboard (hard drive, battery, speakers, motherboard, wifi board, memory, circuit boards for side plugs and buttons), and I'm sure I am forgetting something), then the keyboard is held in place by a couple dozen plastic tabs that are melted to the metal frame holder.This requires a soldering iron to detach the keyboard holder and then reattach it.If you are accustomed to working on electronics and have the tools and setup, this is no big deal.

The keyboard is good to fit my Dell Inspiron 13. I installed it with some work because I need to remove almost everything inside. But it works well.
