The large diameter and the length of this light makes it more noticeable than smaller wands. It could be brighter though. It's dimmer than I expected.I don't find it very durable or sturdy. It is lightweight, simply made and the plastic feels thin and brittle. They're ok for occasional use and if treated gently. I don't see them holding up long term in a daily use commercial environment.It uses the now seldom used D cell battery. A rechargeable battery or stacks of AA batteries would be much more versatile.

Needs 2-'D' Batteries.The plastic is looks thin but feels sturdy and solid. I would still handle them with care to keep the lens' from premature breakage.The lights are bright and give good function. There is steady "on" mode and a flashing mode.The batteries must be really pushed in and held well while screwing the base onto the lens.There is a gasket between the battery base and the light cone so it does provide some waterproofing for the battery compartment.Overall good enough to use for our purposes.

These appear to be a great length and color for nighttime use in most situations. Plenty of visibility, and they're long enough to tell which direction they're pointed from a fair distance. If anything, they might be a bit too long if you're looking for something to carry around under the car seat or in the trunk for emergencies.Can't speak to battery life yet, as I'm generally not using them in situations where they'll be on for long periods of time, though the LEDs should be pretty economical with good batteries.I would like to see a lockout to avoid having them accidentally turn on when not needed, but how necessary that is depends mainly on how you're storing or carrying them.

For the price, acceptable. Rather thin plastic and am not sure they are going to last bouncing around in the car. Work as advertised, but not sure of how long they will last.
