About this item

  • {Heavy Duty} - Our self watering tree bags are made with a high-quality, durable material, meaning they will last for ages and stay with your tree for as long as it may need watering.
  • {Slow Water Release} - Courtyard dew's tree watering bag makes them perfect for unattended watering. Once filled, the water in the bag will slowly release and penetrate into the soil and trunk within 5-9 hours to keep the roots of the saplings moist, meaning your tree will never have excess water. The frequency of drip irrigation varies depending on soil type, weather conditions and tree type, making it especially suitable for dry and hot areas. Refill the bag 1-2 times weekly or as needed.
  • {Zero Wastage of Water} - Our tree gator watering bag for new and established trees are designed to prevent excess water from being wasted. Only fill the bags with the required amount of water so there is no water run off.
  • {Deep Root Targeting} - Courtyard dew's tree irrigation bag delivers water to the soil's depths, promoting robust root development and protects your trees in the sweltering of the sun, drought and crazy weather, keeping trees hydrated and healthy during the scorching summer heat.
  • {Watering Schedule} - There is no universal watering amount for new trees, but a common guideline is 10 gallons of water per week for every 1 inch of tree caliper. Most new plantings require watering 1-2 times per week or as needed. You should adjust the watering schedule based on local weather conditions, soil types, tree species, and especially during periods of drought.
  • {Ideal Usage} - Courtyard Dew's garden watering bags are perfect for newly planted or established trees with branches starting at least 25 inches above the ground. However, very young saplings with a diameter under 2 inches may be too small for the bag, as it won't fit tightly around the trunk. If the ground isn't flat, the bag may lean downhill and pull on young saplings. Always ensure the tree is tall and sturdy enough before using the watering bag.
  • {Quick Installation Instructions} - Installing our slow release water bags for trees is extremely simple. Just wrap them around the tree, zip the two sides together, fill them with water and you're set! {NOTE: Fill tree watering bag only to 1/4 capacity, then gently lift up on the two black straps at top of tree watering bag in order to fully expand bottom.A tree watering bag has a wide fill opening that will fit up to 3” diameter hose. The average fill-time is 2-5 minutes only with a standard garden hose.}

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE: 2 of the 4 bags ripped open immediately when i tried to lift it during filling…and one nearly fell apart completely! So I gave up. Totally disappointing waste of time. Cheap quality product not worth the money.

One bag works great others do not. I have tried repositioning the base as instructed but some do not drain.

We used this to keep our new trees moist.As a plus, it prevents the rabbits from damage the new trees bark.A minus: sometimes when I fill the bags, three of them will have drained, but one of them will still be full. I have to lift the bag up and resettle it on the ground to get it to drain. One time I had to do this two days in a row because the first resettling didn't get it to drain.I know others comment that it drains too fast. I do not think so. I think it takes about half a day to drain and only only fill the bags up halfway (don't want to over water the trees).

I really loved the option to fill bag with 10 or 20 gallons of water to slowly water water my trees or shrubs. No more moving hose from plant to plant, saving work and time watering. The only thing I wasn’t happy with is all the water won’t drain from the bag, this caused a place for mosquitoes to breed if you don’t turn bag upside down and pour out. Other than that higher recommend , easy to set, fill and go about your day.
