I haven’t had a chance to test it in the rain but I like the zipper front and it gives plenty of room to carry a purse or tote bag underneath it.

I purchased this chartreuse hooded poncho because my bike poncho, which I purchased in the late 70s (seriously) had run its course with the applied plastic on the back having peeled. I am very happy with this poncho but I haven't had to take my mobility scooter in more than sprinkles. It will go over a bike handle and over my mobility scooter handle and it has a nice little carrying case. It's larger than some others and I'm happy with that. I prefer the chartreuse because people can see me but it does come in other colors.

Got it at a great price, and will work very well for our frequent rain storms. Very helpful to just be able to zip up rather than over the head, and convenient to put in the pouch when dry to hang up or store out of the way. Bright color makes it still easy to find when needed. Seems to be waterproof from the few times I have used already, and seems sized for a wide range of body sizes.

This poncho is really quite effective! I ordered it specifically to wear over my winter coat while doing my chores in the pouring rain. Now, that I have it, I didn't want to get it dirty or ripped up. It's much thicker than I expected. It sheds the rain without a problem. Large enough to fit over a big coat without binding your shoulders. I've picked up hay and squashed it against the poncho, had giant dogs jump up on me, caught it on branches and whatever sticks out. No ripping. I am aware of it though and try not to expose it to more dangers than it should be. It comes in this cute bag that is reusable and could be kept in a purse or work bag. For the city, it's a dream come true with how cute, small, lightweight and tough it is. If your caught out in unexpected rainstorm, you've got your rain poncho! It has a hood with ties to keep it on and it really does work well in that aspect. Not too long that you're going to trip on it either. I think this thing is great and may get another one for "rain emergencies" while going to workI give this 5 stars with no suggestions for improvements
