Love the image quality and the process of using this manual lens.

I'm using this lens for astrophotography. It delivers a decently sharp image if focused very carefully. For this purpose I used the focus assistance on a Sony A6500 to get the focus bang on the money. Infinity focus is just a small fraction of a turn away from the focus stop. At f/1.2, ISO 200, acceptable exposure of the night sky is about 15 seconds. Using an EQ drive, I shot 20 ARW and JPG images. I stacked the ARW images in Sequator for a final TIFF image. I "massaged" the TIFF file for the final result. The only drawback is the weight. It's heavy.

This is an excellent lens for the price and the image quality is stunning. If you know how to shoot full manual mode you will enjoy using this lens. I have some very expensive lenses which are also fantastic but quality to price comparison this lens is simply amazing!

This lens comes very well packaged and when you open it up the weight tells you that it must be made well. It takes great clear pictures on my a6400. The focus ring is incredibly smooth as is the aperture ring. The aperture ring is stepped, which I happen to like. The clicks are very light and just enough to let you know that you’ve changed your aperture setting.I really like the screw on metal lens cap as well. It came with a pretty decent neoprene type protective sleeve, which is a nice add on. Overall you get a lot of lens for the money, I would definitely recommend this one!

Probably the best bargain lens I’ve ever used.

Excellent built and optical quality. Real thing. You may or may not will agree to live with a little field curvature, but this lens designed not for an architectural photography. It's all about "vintage" manual handling of an old school photography feel with present time technology's color reproduction. This lens will give you a lot of pleasure of both: manual override and bokehlious results.Stopped down it's just a very capable 50mm lens, but try to shoot wide open and you'll see it's magic.

The TTartisan 50 F1.2 meets my expectations for this price range. The build quality is quite good and the focusing ring makes for smooth focusing. In the photos, I used a Sony a6500. At aperture f1.4 the bokeh balls look decent and the focusing works very well. The last photo was taken at f5.6. This displays the main weakness of the lens for me; it is not as sharp as pricier lenses, such as the Sigma 56mm DC DN lens.Still, despite the lack of sharpness, the TTartisan lens brings a lot of bang for the buck. Since it is a manual focus lens, some photographers may pass it by, and it certainly wouldn't be my first choice of a lens in the 50mm range. However, for less than 100 dollars I find it a worthy addition to my camera equipment and fun to use.

It greatly exceeds my expectations. It's very sharp. Focusing is silky smooth. But it's a bit on the heavy side at 332g. Also, the depth of field scale is wrong. But it's still a keeper. My Sony A6400 focusing aid makes manual focusing fun. I liked that so much that I ordered a few other focal lengths.

Build quality of this lens is excellent. All metal construction. Nice sharp images. For photography it has a f-stop ring that clicks! This feature alone makes this stand out. Many other similar lenses do not and this would be a pain for taking stills. Could be an issue for video use though. And then there's the price! No brainer for taking stills. Exceeded my expectations in a big way.

Definitely worth the money. Some chromatic abbreviation but I don't crop in enough on my pics to worry about that.
