While it works well and is easy to clean you're going to need a very wide mug to steep the tea as it is too wide for a standard mug.

If you need a large diffuser this is a perfect one. Of course a bit of tea will squeak out and you need a large mug but this will hold a lot of huge tea pieces which I LOVE. I use an herbal tea with big it's get pieces and they fit!

I love it! It's so pretty and it's great for green tea because leaves can open completely. Not so good for rooibos, because its holes are large.
