It's Designed to thin oils and mediums while maintaining the integrity of your Color. Add sparingly to your oil Paints, and experiment with different ratios to find the consistency you prefer. Although aromatic solvents have been extracted to remove odor, adequate ventilation should be practiced for safety. Archival Quality varnish for oil, alkyd, and acrylic. InstaVar by Tusc & Pine enriches the Colors in your Painting under a Protective, even sheen. The nearly odorless, crystal-clear varnish does not yellow with age. Once your Painting is dry to the touch, preserve it by brushing on a thin layer of InstaVar. You will instantly notice that your Colors have a brilliance and depth of Color they didn't have before. InstaVar may be applied when the Paint is dry to the touch and firm in its thickest sections. Some Paintings might take 2 weeks to dry, while those in humid areas might take 2 months. The product seemed like a nice varnish. So clear and low odor. I applied it to my acrylic painting with a brush. Seemed to go on nicely. Then it began to dry. It fisheyed and separated everywhere. I’m not sure I’ll be able to salvage the painting. I would advise against spending a lot of money on an inferior product. Very disappointing.
