UTM Tool for US Forest Service Maps 1:126,720
Recently revised Forest Service Maps now frequently include UTM coordinate references. Hoorah! Be sure to check your map, as there are still lots of FS maps that only have lat/lon coordinate info on them.
Scales: 1:24,000 x 1km 1:25,000 x 1km 1:62:500 x 5km 1:63,360 x 5km 1:100,000 x 10km 1:126,720 x 10km
Printed on sturdy 30 mil plastic with a protective coating.
Internal cutouts are shown with a red outline in the product images. The map image in the background of some product images is present so that any white ink is visible. Neither the red outlines nor the map image are printed on the tool.

The protractor we ordered worked out perfect on our backpacking trip through the Utah mountains. Prior to a backpacking trip, my son and I were able to work through the examples they sent with the protractor, so that we would have a better understanding. On our backpacking trip, we were able to spend a bit of field time playing around with the map, compass and protractor, so my son and I can become more proficient with plotting our actual location along with our land navigation to various remote places. Thanks for the great useful product!

Excellent customer service. The maptool came with a detailed set of instructions, so even if you are familiar with the use of the tool I am sure that you picked up a pointer or two. I recommend overy highly and will purchase again.

It works great for me and is easy to understand. It does have multiple scales and I have to be very careful that I am using the right one. ON the other hand it can be used on multiple maps. I like the durability. The size fits in my GPS Case. I found the instructions and practice exercises to be excellent.
