This was the perfect replacement for a old Cateye Strada Double Wireless. The original part is quite expensive so I am glad I was able to find an alternative solution.

Check the manual for your Strada Cateye computer (do you still have it?) to ensure this speed sensor works with it. See those model numbers in the top right of my photo of the “manual” that came with the sensor. Those numbers were not indicated on Amazon’s description, at least that I saw. I have a Strada Cateye model number CC-RD300W, and this sensor doesn’t work with my computer. The last time my speed sensor fell off my bike I bought a completely new Cateye computer. This time I tried to save money by buying just this sensor. I’ll probably buy a different brand of computer, hoping not to lose two sensors in four years...

Exactly what I needed! My original rattled loose during a race and was sheared off. I ordered the replacement that Saturday, it posted Wednesday from the East Coast, and arrived Friday to me on the West Coast regular postage. Just in time for my long ride Saturday. Just remember to take the battery cover off before trying to sync!

This transmitter was advertise as a replacement for the v2c system. Upon arrival, the packaging indicated it was for a different Cateye system. This unit is of different dimensions than the v2c transmitter and would require moving the pieces on the bicycle crank and wheel.
