Loving this airtight sealing canister!It's suggested for use with coffee beans.I've used it with fresh ground fresh roasted coffee.So far from week to week for almost 5 months, this has been excellent!Once roasted the oils in coffee beans will start to dry out. The oils have a great deal of the flavor. The more oils they lose, the more of the flavor is lost!I roast a small batch of beans on the weekend, grind them and store them in these sealing canister! And these have been the tastiest cups of coffee I've had!And I attribute that to the lack of wasted coffee beans oils!If you love a good cup of coffee, I would recommend these airtight sealing canister!Even if you buy ground coffee! These help keep the store bought coffee grounds from drying out even more!

ok… so first off… the seller is actually right… even though the container says 34oz it’s really made for about 12oz of coffee beans and that’s exactly what it holds… so i’ll give them credit for being accurate about that… the materials feel nice and it does seem to seal well, but honestly it’s kind of a pain to open it up every single morning just to grab some beans… the double lid thing sounds fancy but it makes it feel like extra work when all you really want is coffee… that said… you do what you gotta do when you’re chasing that perfect cup… overall it does what it claims and looks pretty nice on the counter, just know the size might look bigger than it really is… but it does fit a standard 12oz bag of beans just fine… im not sure if i would buy it again because for my morning cup its a bit more trouble to get into but i would say its worth the price if you really want to take care of those beans...

Great size for bag of beans. Beautiful to look at on the counter. Keeps air and light out. Just wish for another color as well.

This is currently storing decaf espresso beans on my counter for nighttime use. I like the look of this, although I feel the lid could fit a bit tighter, which would help with the airtight aspect. I don't notice too much smell when I take the top lid off, which is good. It doesn't create the same vacuum as other canisters I have, but this one definitely looks a lot nicer. The storage capacity is great, although for the price, I wish it sealed a bit more tightly, especially the top lid. To get to the coffee, you just have to pivot the insert, then when you push it back down, the one way valve lets air escape, but not get back in. This does what I need it go do so far.

Great looking canister and appears well made. The floating inner lid expels air and keeps contents fresh.

I roast my own coffee beans both decaf and regular. Having something to keep good batches in that I want to keep fresh is important to me. I got this to help.COFFEEI roast coffee about 8 oz at a time when I do a batch. That means that a batch and a half will fit in this canister if I make more than one batch.HOW THIS WORKSHaving the coffee breathe is important to keep the coffee fresher than if it was just sealed in a bag. This keeps it sealed but also allows for the beans to degas and then breathe over time until it is used up. There has to be some empty space at the top, so don't plan on putting a full pound in there. I would say 12oz is the most you should count on putting in this can.DOES IT WORK?So far this is easy to use, easy to access the coffee beans and reseal, and seems to be excellent quality and well made. I will say that I like this even better than my glass vacuum seal container because if I drop it, it won't break.THE BOTTOM LINEThis is a well designed canister for coffee beans. It works well and I like it.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. We don't drink as much coffee as we used to. That means when I roast some coffee, having this size canister is perfect for a batch or a little more- allowing it to breathe and taste fresh longer. I am considering purchasing another for decaf too.
