I was concerned at first. But this clamp does the job.Fallow instructions and you shouldn't have a problem, clamp has a minimum weight limit of 200lbs. Anything light the teeth will slip.I do work in a custom fabrication shop, also a professional fabricator.Update - I have owned this clamp for a couple years now. I use it daily and has never failed on me. I would for sure buy another one!!!

This use of this item has significant safety considerations. It is to be used to lift heavy plates of steel. There were no safety warnings or instructions in its box. There were no instructions on how to attach it to plate. If you have some mechanical aptitude and patience you can figure out how to use it. No reasonably competent manufacturer should be making that assumption. Maurice

I needed to move whole bunch of stuff and this little thing did the big boys job without a hitch. Great product, and I recommend it. After three months of use and abuse by our workers, it still looks like it was bought yesterday.
