I've been into photography for many years and this lens is up there with my favorites from the Sony zeiss 35mm, tokina 100mm, fuji 16mm, and takumar 135mm. probably the only way to tell the difference with the fuji version is to do them side by side.the build quality is amazing, it feels so nice to play with hehe. but really it is an absolute joy to use. only improvement would be the aperture ring could be sturdier.

I got one for my fujifilm xt4. It’s very sharp and has a nice feel to it. It has an aperture ring but it doesn’t have stops and will be knocked a bit in use.

Terrible, obvious, chromatic aberration (reddish, bluish edges, no need to pixel peep to see) at F1.4 on my XT-5. Images not usable. Generally pretty sharp. I'm not a pro, but serious hobbyist since film camera days. Only buy if you must have, are on a tight budget, and are willing to accept that lens cannot be used under certain lighting conditions at certain F stops. Returned it.

Gotten some great photos with this, even in low light. I use it with my X-T5 and am just learning, but it is a good lens for me!

I was looking for a large aperture prime portrait lens, and the Fuji 56mm f1.2 is the obvious choice, if you have the money. However, the more reviews I read; erratic and slow focusing, relatively old design, heavy,etc the more £900 seemed way more than I could justify spending. Reading Viltrox reviews everything seemed pretty positive, slightly soft at the edges wide-open, not a worry in a portrait lens, tiny bit of chromatic aberration at f1.4, but it really is tiny. Against this a great price, though 10% more than it cost last year, great build quality, good autofocus and excellent sharpness. I am not a professional using this hard every day so will have to wait to see how reliable it proves but on a short acquaintance mounted on an X-H1 the results are fantastic, bokeh soft and gorgeous. A really satifying lens to use I love it.

The lens is amazing! Viltrox is definitely a great company and getting better and better.. quality and build are great, doesn’t feel cheap, even the lens hood is metal. The pouch/case is typical drawstring hardly any padding but still better than the Fuji ones. Only issue for me is the aperture ring doesnt “lock” on each number, it glides.. it glides nice and smooth though… this is a personal preference though nothing wrong with it just my taste.. excited for the 85 to come and try out!

Ich bin einfach nur begeistert, was Preis /Leistung angeht.Die Qualität des Viltrox 56mm ist einfach super, fühlt sich sehr wertig an, was sich in der metallenen Sonnenblende fortsetzt, Fokusrad und Blende laufen exakt und weder zu straff noch zu leicht.Über die Bildqualität kann ich auch nur positives berichten, wobei es gerade offenblendig (wie jedes nicht sündhaft teure High-End-Glas mit state of the art Lens coatings) zu Flares und chrom. Abb. neigt.Aber who cares, wenn diese mit ein paar Klicks in der Post behoben sind.Das Bokeh finde ich ansprechend und die Farben sind (Fuji like) sehr schön.Ein Glas, das m. M. n. auch in höheren Preisklassen mitspielen könnte.Wie die meisten Viltrox Produkte, von denen ich inzwischen einige nutze, könnte mich schon fast als Fan bezeichnen.

AF works and is silentCon: At f/1.4 the artifact is pretty prominent. But artifact is better than no picture, especially at low light.

Das Objektiv hat eine angenehme wertige Haptik, hervorgerufen durch die Ganzmetallausführung des Tubus.Sehr schön ist auch, das die Sonnenblende 1. dabei, und 2. aus Metall ist. Eine Updatefähigkeit der Firmware per USB ist auch nicht gerade selbstverständlich für den Preis. Die stufenlose Blendeneinstellung ist am Anfang etwas ungewohnt, gegenüber den Rastpunkten der klassischen Verstellung. Der aktuelle Blendenwert ist ja im Display der Kamera (bei mir Fuji X-S10) ersichtlich.Die Offenblende erzeugt ein aus meiner Sicht sehr angenehmes Bokeh. Habe das allerdings bisher nur bei "normalen" Lichtverhältnissen getestet. Naheinstellgrenze von 60cm finde ich auch in Ordnung. Im Zusammenhang mit der 1,4er Blende kann man wunderbar Objekte freistellen.Der Autofokus ist schnell und präzise. Augenautofokus muß ich noch austesten.Wie im Titel erwähnt ist das Preis-Leitungsverhältnis wirklich top.

Llego en 2 días segun la planificacion, envío rápido. Paquete en correcto estado.El objetivo se ve robusto, acabado metalico. Durante alguna de las fotos emepezo a llover levemente y aguanto perfectamente, no sabría decir como funcionara en condiciones extremas.El anillo de diafragma va muy suave y el de enfoque aún mas. Se quedan correctamente bloqueados. De momento no han dado problemas (1día de uso)Esta es mi opinión de la salida de aller:El enfoque, en entornos cerrados y con poca luz, da la sensación de le cuesta un poco mas que en exterior. No ha sido un prueba definitiva así que esto esta por ver.En exterior, me ha encantado!! Clava el foco durante muchas pruebas y a diferentes tiempos de exposicion. Día, atardecer y algo de noche.Ya he visto los resultados que les ha dado a otros colegas, y el bokeh me pareció estupendo. Hice un par de pruebas en interior pero sin llegar a ver todas las posibilidades. Seguiremos comprobándolo.De momento, estoy encantado. Buen producto de calidad, recomendado, envío rápido.
