Got it for the novelty of having such a wide lens at a reasonable price. I have it on a full frame and there is no black ring (although there is obviously some vignetting). Surprised how much I like it. The super shallow depth of field almost mimics medium format. Very nice for portraits. If you can deal with manual focus I’d recommend this lens.

The build on this lens is fantastic, fully metal with a great image. If you want to film just remember there is no stabilization inside so you will prob want to be in a tripod or with a gimbal.Photos are also amazing with that creamy bokeh. If you are shooting daytime, you might want to get a ND Filter to pair with it.

Picked up this lens to put on my Sony zve-10. The lens is fully Manuel but can deliver some great shots. The lens definitely out performs the friendly price point. A good lens for photography, I would only use for video in situations where there is a fixed focal length and not a lot of movement. Great product

Have been using this lens in most situations, lens is poor in very bright light, sucks taking over exposed pictures, but that aside this lens produces great subject isolation and low light images. Picture included is a cropped image taken at approximately 80 feet away from the subject in a darkened theater subject lighted by a standard flash light.

I Initially couldn't believe a less expensive lens could have such a low F stop but it's is true and results are fantastic, yes it's manual focus, yes you'll have to be exact in manually focusing but not disappointed. Yes buy this over more expensive name branded lenses and enjoy superb results.

So this is supposed to be an APS-C lens but on full frame it's supposed to be 75mm. I took 1 photo on my A7Riii full frame using this TTArtisan 50mm (75mm equivalent) and another photo with my Sony 50mm and the photos came out looking similar as far as focal length. Really confusing as I also went into the settings to adjust the APS-C/Super 35mm setting. Really confusing.

Had no idea what to expect with this lens. But given the price (and with Amazon's return policies), I figured it worth trying. Glad I did. It's not just stupidly fast at f/0.95, it's ridiculously sharp, too. The edges held up well when I got toward the maximum aperture (surprising). There was fringing in very tough highlight/backlight conditions, but nothing that couldn't be fixed digitally. Definitely worth the expense -and shooting manual is what I prefer if it's not shooting fast-moving sports. Wouldn't hesitate to plop it on my Sony 6000 if I found myself in an impromptu setting where lighting was minimal. It would be like 35mm film when I began as a newspaper photog- 50+ years ago ;-)
