This was exactly what I needed to fix the charging system on a 2002 40 HP 2 cycle Mercury. The charging system and tach work great now. I've only got about an hour of run time on it so far but it seems good.

A much cheaper alternative to the OEM Mercury voltage regulator; This was easy to install, looks well made and has lasted 18 months so far without problems

Worked great for 3 days... dead on the 4th but in all fairness it may have met the same fate as the original regulator which caused by a bad battery. Seller issued a full refund within a few hours of my contacting them... great service.
