This bad voltage reg/rec (VRR) cost me so expensive electrical damage in bike's ECM.My old VRR went bad - bike would run great for as long as the battery charge would last but wouldn't charge on it's own - got this new VRR, installed right in perfectly, started right up, battery charging light turned off (good) went to go for a test ride and as soon as I started to roll forward everything shut down. Come to find out this brand new VRR was pushing 20+ volts and fried something in my electronics. Isolated the VRR from the system and checked the voltage out and indeed wildly fluctuating 15-20+ volts. My electronics that were fine other than charging before are now highly erratic and shutdown randomly and bike won't run. ... I fear I'll need a new ECM because of this darn bad VRR.

Shindengen labels their R/R. The label is not there as per the pictures. The key word in the description is "for" which most likely refers to a non Shindengen non mosfet replacement.Let the buyer beware.Appears to be a run-of-the-mill knockoff. Maybe good as a cheap spare to take with you on a long trip and replace it (if used) with a real one when you get home. This is obviously not a "real" one.

This works great and was way cheaper than oem. Triumph wanted over $200 for one 8/1/18Fast forward to 3 months later and this part failed and left me stranded far from home. Not sure if inadequate for the larger charging system of the Tiger XCA, or if I got unit that was defective. 11/30/18

If you buy this, it's a replacement for one that has already been put into a system, so know that there are no wires that come with this. If you want to upgrade your current system to a Mosfet style Reg/Rec this worked great on a VF750C Magna. I use an in-line auto resetting fuse on the main lead at 30AMPS that runs to the BATTERY POSITIVE. (like this https://www.amazon.com/Bussmann-CBC-30HB-Circuit-Automotive-Terminals/dp/B001PT60EK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1531144743&sr=8-2&keywords=30amp+auto+reset+fuse )Also, to find out which wires went where, you can just type in the Reg/Rec number and "wiring diagram" and you'll be all set. This worked great, I'm very happy.
